Checking in is a hassle because they do not have a reception desk. You have to find someone wondering around with a tablet. In the early days these people did not wear uniforms (I donāt know if they do now) so you didn't know if it was another patient or a staff member. Also, you're talking publicly out in the open about potentially sensitive information with anyone in ear shot to hear. When you leave and you need to schedule a follow up appointment you are directed to a cubicle like area. Again, no privacy. When I was checking in for my first round of visits, they didn't have the system up so that I could pay my copay, and then on the 4th visit when it was up and running the woman that checked me in didn't have her password so I couldn't pay it then either. Come a few months later I get a bill for 300+ dollars demanding to be paid immediately. When I was finally called in, you're ushered into another obnoxiously public area where they get your vitals and weight you. The only thing separating you from the 'room' next to you is a thin curtain. When you actually see a doctor you get a real room with a real door. The doctor/PA I saw during my first visit completely ignored my thoughts and concerns about being overweight and how I wanted to manage it. I figured this was a one off situation, not all doctors are rude and uncaring, right? Wrong. At my own insistence I was referred to an endo doc because I was worried about being diabetic (again, I MADE THEM refer my to an endo doc, they didn't want to. Type 2 diabetes and obesity go hand in hand, why would a weight management doctor not be concerned about this?). When I come back for my visit with the endo doc I was put in a room and the nurse made a big deal about what chair I was sitting in and that it was 'not the right size' for me. She then proceeded to find a bench seat for me. This was an absolutely humiliating experience. Not only that, but my doc was 20 MINUTES LATE for a 30 minute appt. The nurses told me she wasn't even in the building and they couldn't get a hold of her. When she finally arrived and told her I was concerned about being diabetic. She totally shot me down. She proceeded to prescribe me meds that I told her I didn't want to take because of the side effects and sent me on my way. I canceled all my follow up appointments, because frankly, I gave up. They didn't listen, and didn't seem to care.
I HAVE TO go back here because I need to see a specific type of a specialist. I got the proper referral from my PCP and called CSC to make an appointment. I was on hold for 1 hour and 15 minutes (8th in line) before someone got around to answering my call only to find out that this general appointment line doesn't make appointments for the clinic I need. Why have a general appointment line that can't make appointments for the clinics in that building?
I was transferred to the correct clinic only to be on hold for another 30 minutes (2nd in line). Someone finally picked up, I told them my issue, what I needed, etc. and they told me they had no idea which doctor I should be seeing. They then put my on another 15 minutes hold so they could go ask the nurses. They told me the nurses didn't know either. He told me he would look into it and call me the next day. Never did so I went to a different clinic. Well that clinic tells me I HAVE to go to CSC for the specialist I need. I told them everything that happened and they said they would send a message directly to the doctor I need and to their nurse.
I don't think all the doctors/nurses/staff here are bad, but how they structured this building and how they manage patients makes you feel like cattle. I would sooner see this building demolished then go back, but I'm forced to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis late year 2024 review is written as a warning for potential patients. Seek care somewhere else- seriously.
While this review describes my experiences at this place, including the facilities and interactions with: general staff, nurses, and doctors, this review should not be commented on by any of the aforementioned parties because this review is not for them- it is a review about them- the facility and the personnel that āworkā there.
If I see a comment that says āmy time is valuable,ā or any comment at all for that matter, you will be doing nothing more than throwing more poop on yourselves.
Since many of those reviews I read were from 6, 7, even 8 years ago now, it is safe to say that it is WAY PAST TIME to use some of those big profits you are churning to turn the contractor parking lot into a storied parking garage- think of the patients and not your trips to Europe.
āLoitering staff membersā demonstrates conduct unbecoming a professional- you were not even remotely āhard at workā. You were doing nothing more than absorbing your paycheck while the clock spunā classy.
That said, I did spend multiple hours in the days preceding my appointment working my way through and completing the āonline checkin-inā processā thoroughly obtaining, organizing, inputting, and explaining my copious medical datas. You know, so the doctor would have every thing needed to know about me right there at their fingertips.
When the nurse āroomed meā, she began to ask questions of me that I had already answered -copiously- during the online check-in process.
Nurse: āDo you take medications?ā
Me: Yes, I entered it all in during the online check-in process.
Nurse: āI donāt see anything here.ā
Me: āā¦..ā š
Nurse: āDo you have allergies?ā
Me: Yes, I entered it all in during the check-in process.
Nurse: āI donāt see anything here!ā
Me: āā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā š¤¬
So, none of those many hours and hours that I spent making the providers lives easier mattered at all in the end- all of it was time wasted. And this wasted time and lack of information made for an unprofessional, unproductive, discombobulated appointment.
I feel like it was a waste of monies.
All of the datas I entered (into their own systems, mind you) were inaccessible to both the nurse and the doctor. All of it.
What am I paying for by coming here, exactly?
Why did I waste days filled with hours of inputting datas to ensure the provider had all of my relevant information, only to be shown the stark disconnect between YOUR OWN SYSTEMS?
You call yourselves professionals?
You demand a professional wage and fees?
This place is utterly pathetic.
Seek care anywhere...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe building looks nice and I think that is where my compliments stop. I pull up to the valet and its a long line just to get in there. Whomever did the building plans did not make proper accommodations for the amount of cars that pass through there. Traffic is a nightmare around this place. I finally get to the floor I'm looking for and there is a long line all the back to the elevators just to check in. They don't have traditional desks but more of these kiosk stations where someone with a Ipad will check you in. For the amount of people lining up, I believe there were 3 people to perform that function. I have a seat as directed and it takes over an hour to be called back for an appointment. When I complain to the nurse, she said that they only have so many rooms to use and they have too many Dr's. working to accommodate all of the patients and they do not have enough staff to work with all of the Dr's. From the looks of things, I believe this to be a true statement. Please keep in mind that it already took 6 weeks just to get an appointment. Then I go back in the exam room thinking that I would meet the Dr. No, guess again. I am greeted by the resident, the fellow. I tell my story and then the Dr comes in and I have to repeat my story yet again. I was not asked about any resident, student, fellow etc. This information should have been explained when booking the appointment. The Dr ordered labs and imaging. I find that floor and guess what, its another long line out the doors just to have these simple tests done. I believe that this place is very poorly ran. The concept may be great but it proves to be a total mess in reality. A follow up appointment was recommended and I was given a far out date. That was absolutely the last straw for me! I called another healthcare system where the phone was answered promptly, and my appointment was scheduled in less than a week. Run far and as fast as you can from this system. It is a complete nightmare. Long wait times on the phone to schedule, long wait times to get in for an appointment, long wait times to be called back to see the Dr., long wait times to have testing done, long wait times just to valet your car. I can't honestly say that anything was expedited here....
