When I first visited Rally Squirrel, I had a rough experience—employees were dismissive, and I felt brushed off when I was genuinely just trying to learn more about the TCG hobby. As someone brand new to the scene, it was disappointing to be talked over while questions went unanswered in favor of side conversations. I originally left a 3-star review because of that.
But I believe in second chances, and I’m glad I gave them one. Now that I’ve become more seasoned in Pokémon TCG collecting, I can better understand the stress that came with the hobby’s boom, especially around peak times like the release of Prismatic. While that doesn’t excuse rude service, it helps put things in context.
Since returning, my experience has completely turned around. I’ve gotten to know the staff better, especially Noah, who’s been consistently helpful—whether I’m asking questions, looking for product, or just down to play a game. Their commitment to selling at MSRP, even when they could easily profit more by charging market prices, speaks volumes about their values and long-term vision. Singles are fairly priced, league play is a blast, and trade nights—while a bit cramped—are always buzzing with energy and community spirit.
The Rally Squirrel community has become a really fun and meaningful part of my collecting journey. I’ve met some great people and look forward to continuing to be part of this space. Big thanks to the team for helping change my perspective and for all they do to support the...
Read moreNew releases are always handled very professionally, and the amount of product they are able to deliver to their customers at MSRP is impressive! (Happy Journey Together Day!) If you get active with the trade nights or playing the TCG here then you will meet a wonderful community of regulars. The employees who work here are very knowledgeable and friendly - the shop does get flooded with calls and customers at times, and the employees need to almost constantly be inventorying new cards, keeping up with the products on the shelves, taking in new cards, etc, so please give them some grace. When they have some downtime to talk, you’ll find they are passionate about the TCG and are more than happy to help you out in any way they can. A lot of the community is the same so if you’re new to Pokemon or returning after X amount of years away, come on down and grab some free bulk cards to gather up a collection or learn how to play. :) There is also a Discord you can inquire about joining and speak to others directly...
Read moreMy favorite Pokémon store. It’s a great place to buy cards with all kinds of products with the newest sets fast in stock. It’s also a great place to build community. People gather around as others pull packs and boxes. People celebrate great pulls. The trade nights are great! The beginning is a wonderful time for kids and parents with free pizza, trading, and a basketball shoot game. Then, later it becomes more adults trading and talking and becoming friends. Noah is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He helps kids trade fairly which can be hard with all the special versions of cards. Both he and Devin really care about the community and are passionate. There’s tournaments hosted and though I don’t play both kids and adults always seem to be having a great time. Some of the trade nights have business partners of the store who bring in even more singles and sealed products including rare cards, rare packs, and plenty of Japanese things. They do lorcana which I know nothing about. They don’t do sports...
