I wear full foot orthotics and had heard great things about On Clouds. I visited Sunset Shoes at The Commons and was greeted by two gentlemen as I entered the store. Over the next 45 minutes they described the differences between the various models and brought samples of each for me to try. (They were both wearing On Clouds). I decided on the On Cloud Swift which felt comfortable and looked fantastic. I wore them around my condo and found the heel drop was too severe so went back the next day to find an alternative pair since the On Cloudâs were exceptionally comfortable. Olivia greeted me as I entered and, after a short description of issue with the Swifts, offered various alternatives. She was wearing On Clouds and was very knowledgeable about the construction and differences between the different models. She helped me try a number of different shoes, and I settled on the new On Cloud 5âs which are stylish and work well with after market orthotics. The first time I I wore them out I had numerous compliments and several assurances that âthey were going to visit Sunset to try the On Clouds.â See for yourself and let the superb staff at Sunset help you pick the most comfortable shoes...
Read moreWife and I stopped in before going to see a movie. We were in the store for over 10 min and not one associate greeted us or asked if we needed help. I purposely grabbed a shoe and did the look around for help (it was a shoe I wanted). I finally had enough and decided to go to the manager or owner of the store. The store is pretty small and crowded with merch, I point this out because I had to pass an associate on the way to the register where the "manager" is sitting down using a computer instead of helping customers. I talked to him about the problem and the associate overheard and swore she thought I didn't need help. The manger just pretty much blew me off and didn't even try to rectify the situation.
Now I am not the one to pull a "demographic" card but anyone who knows this area knows it's a tourist spot with mostly wealthy visitors of certain demographics. I guess I did not meet the "demographic" to warrant being taken care of like others who got attention when I went in, maybe I should have just let my wife go in alone, I'm sure the scenario might have been different.. I will leave it to you to figure out what...
Read moreOn 11/10 midday I walked into the store towards the back wall where Olukai is displayed looking primarily for their seasonal booties or a replacement of another shoe I had of theirs. The store wasn't busy at all for a Sunday. I walked around several display tables picking up shoes and putting them down. I assume the 3 girls standing around and chatting were sales associates, the 4th was a cashier. Not a hi and barely eye contact. So I stood their waiting. Nothing. The two girls who were helping others barely looked at me too and couldn't be bothered to offer to get me help. I sat down and waited. Nothing. 2 of the 3 separated and as they walked by I asked if they knew where I could get help. They stopped and one asked what I was looking for so i mentioned the sessonal bootie I missed getting last yr. She said Olukai didn't make those this yr. (funny since they are on the website). Not we don't have them but can order them. So I left empty handed and disappointed for these girls who think more of getting pd to work on their social skills and not customer...
