----FRAUD ALERT!!!----
This store is run by SmartMart, and they are a dealer for Verizon... they are not "Verizon".
-April 29th, brought 3 phones (2 ported from AT&T, and one, new, unlocked) to the Miramar store. -The representative quoted me an out the door monthly bill of $135 for the Ultimate Plus plan, for all three lines. I have called Verizon, and the OTD amount for my plan is in fact $199, not the $135 I was quoted. -The representative charged me $75 as "activation fees", and there is no record of this payment in Verizon's system. Verizon has charged me $35 activation fee, per line, as well ($105) -The representative added a device protection plan, which I have not authorized. -The representative told me I would be eligible for an automatic payment setup discount, and he did not disclose this could only be setup with a Verizon credit card or ACH. Personal credit cards are not accepted, and he concealed this information.
This is constitutes deception and FRAUD! The same goes for adding a service (device protection) without my knowledge, and quoting me an amount that does not reflect my true monthly billing amount.
In addition to the $75 I paid in store, I received another bill from Verizon for $330, totaling my bill to $405. Remember, I was told, it would be $75 activation, and then $135 monthly.
This place will rip you off, and lie to you.
It's also important to note that many of the 5 Star reviews you are seeing is as a result of the representative asking for a review on the spot, by scanning your phone with an NFC chip. Of course, if you've felt like you've got great customer service, and got a great deal, you would be inclined to write a positive review. I did the same! I actually gave them a 5 star review too! Then I got my bill, and realized I was scammed, and came back to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to get a new SIM card for my phone and the Hispanic male employee informed me that he could not assist me because he had a potential customer application open and he ran her credit and could not close it. Then said if he closes it and she returns he would have to run her credit all over again. The customer was not even in the store why is her information even on the screen sir???!! The customer left the store way before I arrived. Then he tried to send me to another store which was out of my way. Then he told me the customer will be back like more than 30mins from the time I was there⦠then I asked him how does he know if she is really coming back then he responded and said she will and that she went to buy/get her phone. Make it make sense. Then I asked for the supervisorās information he claimed he was the supervisor. Interesting⦠verizon if this guy is a representation of you all I see you losing long time...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been to the Verizon Miramar store multiple times trying to get a simple phone upgrade that I was promised would be quick and easy. Instead, it has been nothing but a headache. The store manager, Jason, has repeatedly told me to come in and that everything would be taken care of, only to look confused and unprepared each time I arrive.
To make matters worse, I was charged for a phone that they still havenāt given me. The customer service here is truly terrible ā Iāve called the store multiple times and canāt get through to anyone, only voicemail. As a business owner, I know what real customer service looks like, and this place couldnāt be further from it.
I would not recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and go elsewhere ā this location is unprofessional...
