As enjoyable as the golf course can be, dealing with those that run it, is an unpleasant experience. Without explanation we were told that we were to play the back nine twice, with a real take it or leave it attitude. Still don't know why. I showed up to play golf another time and found that the driving range was closed, and had been at the time of booking my reservation. No mention of this fact was told to me. I don't think that they realize that respect begets respect. I'm a vet, but they treat you like you're in the service, not that you served. Less golf there for me.
This is an update: After almost a year, I returned, in the interest of adding variety of courses to my golf and having gotten over their unpleasantness. Went into the pro shop and what a different experience. Very very helpful, to the point I'm still talking to myself about it. They renewed my driving range key that I had lost about eight months ago. The last time in the shop they essentially told me tough luck. There was $135 on the key fob. They were actually friendly, I mean genuinely. I felt much better about purchasing ten rounds. In addition, the course is in really really good shape. Greens run straight, fairways are lush green and well trimmed. So, why only four stars? I believe that I saw only one ball wash, and there were almost no benches. For some of us older golfers, a three minute sit down can make a lot of difference. So, help me give the course five stars...the staff already...
Read moreThis was a pleasant first experience starting when I arrived at the clubhouse. The pro shop informed me that my reservation was for the next day, as I had made a mistake when I booked it. They were very understanding and kind enough to get me out on the course about the same time I had booked anyway.
I rented a cart and we started play around 1:30. It was so pleasant that I never had to wait on any hole. Great pace of play to enjoy a really nice day on the course. The fairways and the greens were in fantastic condition. Everything was lush and green and well maintained. I wish courses would get back to having ball washers on the tee boxes but this is yet another course that has done away with them. That was my only complaint though. The paths were great all over the course and the signage was also clear and easy to follow around the course.
We played our round in less that 3 1/2 hours and we were a foursome, so pace was really a pleasant factor for our round. The course is a bit short which was fun as there were a couple of drivable par 4's but still had 3 par 5's to challenge your fairway woods. The par 3's were challenging with water on a couple of holes as well to make things interesting.
Overall I really liked this course and I will look forward to returning to...
Read moreGolf is fine but the people absolutely suck. I'm new to golf and parked my cart near the tea box cus I didn't know not to and a worker there got no less than two inches from my faces, spitting all over me and screaming at me!!! I was genuinely concerned he was going to attack me because I wasn't aware he even worked there I just thought some old man was screaming at me haha. I brought it to the attention to the pro shop and they tried defending the guy and blamed me for parking where I did. I admit I shouldn't have been near the t box on my cart but as someone who is new to golf I'm sure there is a better way to educate me rather than screaming in my face and literally cussing at me. Another time I was playing with two of my friends and two of us wanted a cart and one wanted to walk. Our third friend came later to check in at the pro shop and said he wanted to walk, this is after my other friend and I got a cart keep in mind, and the guy at the desk laughed in his face and said "nice try bud but you have to ride". They forced my buddy to get a cart just because the other people in the party had one which makes absolutely not sense because it only fits two people and there where three of us and one wanted to walk so whats the...
