The owners definitely put so much thought and heart into this inn- the fresh cream, the sea animal themed rooms, the relaxing ambience upon entry.
My review is mainly because I booked the room the first day they opened so there were things that I think with feedback they will make this place a 5 star! Plus I had higher expectation due to price of the room.
1- the view of the bay and Morro Bay Rock is spectacular. The room alone is worth staying in for the view and location conveniently located by all the restaurants and shops with a small play area for children.
The balconies are all close to each other; thankfully we didn’t have neighbors that used the balcony because you will hear each other due to proximity. The balcony itself is very nice with seating and a fire pit which we had a little trouble lighting but the owner immediately came upstairs to help us out.
Requests for coffee and any needs were addressed quickly although I had to text and felt strange communicating that way. Tablet was inside the room too without instruction- wasn’t even sure if it belonged to the room?
The TV and bed was very comfortable. We did book the room for a pull out couch. My tween daughter slept on it and it was very hard where she was left with shoulder pain for two days. Bed needs to be broken in or for smaller children. May not be most comfortable for bigger teenager or adults. It was brand new so we aren’t complaining but just leaving this review to help out those who may need to really use the pull out and want comfort.
Feedback - the shower amenities like shower products were thin and felt generic for being a nicer, costlier inn. With all the details of the room I would say the products for shower could be nicer. The bathroom light didn’t work well either! Could be user error but the switch just wasn’t turning on.
All in all, the owners were friendly, hospitable and created a nice space. Being so new it would be nice to have been offered a discount for not fully being ready when we booked the room but she was super nice and even heated up our room before entering in all to give us a welcoming experience.
The front desk is in the store below. Was a bit hard to find. Street parking was available.
Shower is...

We're in the habit of leaving home and not know where we're going on a "no plans, no worries" adventure. We stopped in Morro Bay on the we evening on the 6th day of adventures where ran into hotel co-owner Travis on the street as he was talking to a family that just checked in.
Travis offered to show us rooms available for the evening, two in total. He was so friendly and after we saw the rooms we decided to check in.
The boutique hotel is a new venture for the lovely couple and their three children. They have put a lot of themselves in each room in design, function and amenities. The king size bed was so comfortable we want to order one for home. Our room had a balcony with a fire pit and fireplace in the room. I slept with the sliding door open waking up fresh and relaxed. Unfortunately it was late and I didn't take photos of the room.
The bouquet hotel opened April 1st, so I shared with Cherise a power strip would be appreciated to charge phones, watches, etc. and an extension cord on request. She emailed a few days. "We have installed a power strip earlier this week. Thank you for the feedback. See you next time in Morro Bay. I will have your parking space ready".
Left for home after coffee and croissants at Sun-N-Buns Bakery & Espresso Bar. We will...
Read moreMy husband and two kids recently had the pleasure of staying at Harbor Walk Inn, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. The hotel boasts a spacious deck complete with a cozy fire pit, which made for a perfect evening of relaxation while taking in the stunning views of Morro Bay. The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever been in and the kids were extremely cozy on the memory foam pull out couch. I loved how kid friendly this inn was with an adorable park and seals basking in the sun just right below our room.
What really sets Harbor Walk Inn apart is its unbeatable location right in the heart of downtown Morro Bay. Everything from charming shops to delicious restaurants is within walking distance, making it incredibly convenient for guests. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
The views from the deck and rooms are absolutely breathtaking, whether you’re watching the sunset over the bay or enjoying the peaceful morning atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend Harbor Walk Inn more—it’s truly a gem in the heart...
