Beach Bomb Sports Cards & Collectibles — Local services in Myrtle Beach

On a recent trip from St. Louis to Myrtle Beach, SC my son just had to stop in here after seeing the pictures online. Don’t let the location deter you (it’s a modern shop within a mostly empty looking strip mall). Immediately upon walking in we were welcomed. One of the owners (I didn’t get his name, but he was so nice) explained their concept, pointed us to what we were looking for abs offered us drinks and snacks. They have a couple couches and a couple arcade games for the members of your group not interested in looking around. I was impressed with how neat, organized and clean the shop was. While I know this could partially be attributed to them being new, I could sense this modern vibe was a choice. It was nice to not be overwhelmed by boxes of “collectibles”. My 11 year old son was using his own money, to make his purchase. After noticing this the owner hooked him up with a few free packs, which blew my sons mind. After begging to stop in again, the second visit here was just as awesome. We were immediately greeted by Larry (one of the other owners who was helping a different customer on our first visit). He not only took the time to find out about what brought us in, after sensing my sons interest, he offered to show us around the shop, including the back (which included their sorting room) which was unexpected and so nice of him to do. This is a friends and family operation, which you can immediately feel. They make you feel welcome, and I even heard them refer a customer to a competitor for a service which would be cheaper their. My son is already begging for another trip to Myrtle Beach just to visit the shop. While they are new, they have big plans for the future, including hosting various community events. I wish you were closer so we could visit regularly. Anyone with the chance to do so, please support this shop!

We have been to Myrtle Beach on vacation the last 3 out of 4 years and Beach Bomb is always on our list of places to stop! Beach Bomb really is “da bomb!”. The selection.. bomb! There is an abundance of card of all sports and They have lots of Pokémon and Magic cards as well. The staff… bomb! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Paul was engaging and kept us laughing. Rick (the owner) is always kind and helpful. We’re always greeted warmly and you can tell the staff really care about their customers! The atmosphere… bomb!! The store is clean and inviting. The cards are always organized into boxes and sleeved in hard cases. It makes sifting through cards much easier! One thing that this shop does that I’ve never seen another shop do is they have special orange stickers on the front of the cards showing their serial numbers! No more turning over ever card to see if they’re numbered! Our family looks forward to visiting this store every time we vacation here and we are always so pleased with the selection and the people who run the store! I am a Myrtle Beach native and have had a great experience each time I have brought my children into Beach Bomb. The owner is very accommodating and friendly with the kids. We felt comfortable to take boxes down and ask questions and he was very knowledgeable. He recognized and remembered us from previous visits and also made sure to give the kids a few freebies which made them feel special. His co-worker, “the dude with earrings” is also especially fun and amicable. This is our new favorite spot for trading cards and we are making sure to tell all of our friends! Don’t miss this place!! I loved this place! There was a huge selection of sports cards. “The dude with earrings” was really nice. He gave me a free pack! The owner knew a lot about the cards gave my sister some really good cards. The funko pop collection was huge! The walls were lined with them. SIX stars out of five! This place is the bomb!!!- Theo
