We drove 17 hrs from Kansas City,MO to celebrate my friends bday. This was our 1st stop. The service was terrible!the Waitress got our order wrong 3x.Then didn’t want to fix it said I could talk to a manager,"yes please." Her manager Angie came over w/an attitude.I explained my friend didn’t like her drink.we DIDN'T want to send it back. I wanted to order a new drink for my friend but my drink wasnt what I ordered.I wanted what I ordered.I didnt yell, have an attitude, said please/thank u,was understanding.I’ve worked in the service industry, humans make mistakes.told the manager the order which was simple a shot of tequila,a glass of water & some limes.they gave me tequila mixed w/margarita mix.The waitress said they didn’t have margarita mix.so if there wasn’t margarita mix how did they make the margaritas? She stared at me w/no answer.I said I just want what I ordered no problem. They brought drinks w/tequila mixed w/water w/pieces of lime in it again wrong. It was fine in my 20yrs of drinking (I’m 41) nobody has ever messed up a shot of tequila, glass of water&limes. It seemed difficult so we just accepted what we got, we were exhausted by this point.2 of our friends ordered drinks& food the rest of us didn’t know what we wanted to eat we asked the waitress to come back. She came back got the rest of our food order&was off to put it in.The food came & my 2 friends that ordered 10 minutes before the rest of us didnt get food. They asked she said she put the food order in separate from the drinks.Ok that’s fine & understandable but that doesn’t explain why the people that ordered 10 minutes b4 everyone else why their orders weren’t put in 1st &unbelievably not at all! One of our friends had low blood sugar & needed to eat.So they said they would put in the order 15 mins later the order isn’t out we tried to flag the waitress she wouldn’t acknowledge us.My friend had to walk up to the manager&waitress to ask if the order was put in.Another 10 minutes&the order finally came.Of course the rest of us were already done w/our cold food that we didnt finish. We told the manager our food was cold she said it was made to order. We asked if it was made to order why were the jalapeño poppers(made to order) cold they're cooked in the fryer!she gave us the same look the waitress did…blank stare no answers because she couldnt argue the freshness when the food was right in front of her &COLD.We have never been to SC &we simply wanted a great experience w/reasonable service &all we got was a rude hostile waitress AND manager that wanted to argue w/us rather than help us.We didn’t want anything free we didn’t want to insult anyone we just wanted correct orders or at least fixed when they realized there was an mistake. We asked for our checks&just wanted to pay &leave.I paid w/cash since there was a 3% charge for cards &they already were charging an 18% gratuity.I gave the waitress my payment & asked for my change. The change was only 21 cents but I shouldnt have to ask for my change.she didnt do well and the tip was taken from the gratuity. When I asked she returned w/21 pennies thrown on the table. But 21 cents in Pennies to me is still money.no need to be petty. UPDATE:Mine was a truthful account of an experience. No profanity, name calling, anything inappropriate. The managers response shows exactly what the initial review was about-arguing, lying &accusing of things we never did, showing the lack of professionalism, listening & understanding (CUSTOMER SERVICE)that was spoken of. I do not curse that is a lie. only 1 exit from the restaurant nobody was followed we were leaving.server went to the register for the pennies we watched her.god can hear you.Your account is a complete fallacy but again god sees you. We have a video of the interaction I was being nice not posting it but I’m now considering it to prove I do not curse & show staff demeaner. so much hate&anger find your happy place prayers for you. Just be honest & do better for the next customer, you & your staff SIMPLE. “Slack habits and sloppy work are as bad as...
Read moreI would like to start off my review by begging the business to please give Sherry a raise, or promotion. Whichever is more appropriate with her job.
I had the BEST time eating here. First off, the food was absolutely amazing. Their burgers were so good. They were also huge! I was barely able to finish it. The jalapeño poppers were also really good. All around me and my group agreed that the burgers were the best we have ever had.
The seasonings on the patties were perfect. They were cooked well, not too dry. The buns had a nice sweet taste. The Hurricane burgers had a very good kick to them. Spicer than the poppers.
The hurricane fries were loaded up with so much that somehow all fit together without feeling crowded. I will say alone, they dont have much flavor. The batter gives them a great crisp crunch to them while letting the inside stay fluffy.
The jalapeño poppers were big and juicy. They had so much flavor. The portion size was really nice too.
They really could've sold all their food for so much more than they do. After the burgers came out I was blown away that we paid so little for each meal. And even more blown away after taking (attempting with how huge it was) my first bite. The pricing was about how much youd spend anywhere that isnt fast food. I think each of our meals were under 15 dollars.
Now on to our beautiful customer service! Sherry is one of a kind. You do not find that hospitality anywhere anymore. She was so attentive and kind. She interacted with my 3 month old baby, complimented us on how well he was doing and how cute he is.
But what really just sent us in a great mood, was that after I asked her if there was a changing table in the bathroom, she went to clean it for me. She waited around constantly checking for the last person to come out (While still somehow taking care of all her customers during a busy hour) and went in really quick before me to wipe it down and make sure it was clean for my baby to be changed on.
She went above and beyond to make sure we had a good dinner and that my baby was happy and feeling good the whole time. She didnt need to, she couldve gave us great service without all of the extra and personal acts. But she did. And out of all the times ive gone out to eat, I havent had anyone do that.
Easy to say this ended off my trip to the...
Read moreUPDATE: reply to owner...(it seems I can't reply to a response.) So, kudos for the owner for replying. That's professional. (I agree )and which is why I said it was the off-season because I'm not the only one in town that might want to go down to the boardwalk. Kudos that any drink could've been made in a shaker or a blender when your machines are down. However, I can assure you that by far we are not cheap. And gladly I would've paid an extra dollar for a floater...had it been suggested. However, It was not the taste of alcohol that I wanted, nor the extra liquor... being that I do not have a drinking problem or feel the need to get buzzed. It was the taste of coconut that I was looking for in a Malibu Sunset, which makes the drink. Incidentally shortly after, I had the same drink made in another restaurant for my dinner and it did have the taste of light coconut without being a double shot. Perhaps they are carrying a different brand of coconut rum than you are? I do intend to return to Myrtle Beach during the on seasons. I can sense your frustration on the off-season for your business. However, it is the snarkiness that will keep me out of your bar now. Personality goes a long way. .. But I do appreciate the response
I'm giving it two stars because the people that were inside were talkative and we had conversation. Otherwise because it was the off-season, this daiquiri bar did not have daiquiris made in the frozen machine which is what they do... promote all these different daiquiris. However I also understand that on the off-season they will clean their machines. But their menu was limited also because it was the off-season so they weren't bringing menu items in. The drink that I did have, had coconut rum in it. And although the drink was good and tasted light, I did not get a taste of alcohol or coconut in it at all. It's right on the boardwalk making it convenient, but I don't think...
