DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Nampa

First off, I’m not an entitled veteran who believes I have to get a store discount as a “thanks”. I will however take advantage of one of its offered. That being said, its worth the drive to go to the Dicks in Meridian or Sheels if you’re a veteran and looking to make a rather large purchase that includes multiple items. This store only offered a veterans discount on one item while those other two mentioned don’t have that limitation. When I politely asked the gal at the register why, she started rambling in a rather contentious manner and brought up poor examples such as “Walmart clearance items being different prices at different stores” as if I was an imbecile. Ultimately she ended up saying that the eagle road location does a much higher volume of sales, thus can afford to offer a better discount. Perhaps their policy plays a contributing factor? I know it certainly will affect my purchases for my family of 6.

Aside from that, the staff at the other mentioned stores are usually more helpful and polite. I’ve seemed to notice this as a general retail trend out here in 2C since moving out...

I went there to purchase some Sports socks for my son They didn’t have the size I needed so I went to the front And the cashier Radio, someone and she told me to go back to the aisle. I waited for five minutes no one showed up. I flagged down an employee me and her look together. We couldn’t find the right size she called someone else They couldn’t find the right size then they for another employee, the guy that came kind of rude looked and nothing it seemed like he didn’t even want to help so the first person that helped me in the beginning, said if I just wanted to order it online and then she would give me a discount so we did that the other people that helped or no help at all. It looked like they didn’t even know what they were doing in that one dude...

Me and my Wife were there to buy shoes! It was an anniversary gift so I was so excited to shop. The guy in the shoe department (Avery) at the Nampa location was so rude. Never asked if we needed help we had to come to him to get help. Didn’t smile was super short with us. When he handed us the shoes it was like he didn’t stop walking literally dropped it off didn’t say a word. Tried the shoes on was a bit confused with the kind of shoes I was getting. Had to just look it up myself. Never asked how they fit specifically since I’m spending over 100 dollars in shoes. Didn’t make my feel happy about getting these as a gift kind of took away the experience. Mind you it wasn’t...
