I never thought I was a jewelry person. I used to tell people that I would much rather buy something for the house than a piece of jewelry... Then, I stumbled across Calista on Instagram and the rest is history. Calista's work is so incredibly beautiful because she pays attention to the details, she listens carefully to your vision, she's skilled at selecting high quality, GIA-graded diamonds, and she answers the questions you don't even know to ask.

2020 was the year I was supposed to celebrate a milestone birthday and my 10th wedding anniversary with my husband -- instead, we experienced our first lockdown due to a global pandemic. In his effort to mark the significance of the year, my husband suggested it might be time to replace my engagement ring (the original broke). Even though I knew we'd be committing to a virtual process, Calista was the first person that came to mind and the only jeweler I wanted to work with. After our first phone call with her, we both knew we had made the right choice. I know it sounds ill-advised to commit to such an expensive process knowing we would not have the chance to see the stones or Calista in person, but we knew we could trust Calista, and we were right.

Calista has an impeccable eye for quality diamonds, and she knows how to design a setting that will highlight the beauty of the stone. We came to Calista with an idea and she took that idea and helped us understand the nuance of the decisions ahead, walked us through the details, sent us samples and videos, gave us options, and guided us through a clear and simple process. In the end, she delivered a gorgeous one-of-a-kind ring that I can't help but sneak glimpses of throughout the day. It's such a beautiful work of art and I'm so grateful to Calista for helping us skillfully execute our idea. Needless to say, I've been converted. My first pieces from her were stackable diamond bands, so it was only natural that she would be the one to design my engagement ring. The emerald cut ring my fiancé designed alongside Calista is custom down to the smallest detail, and having worked with me in the past with other pieces, she was able to create the ring of my dreams even though the engagement ring was a surprise. She is vested in her clients styles and wishes, and the process is never rushed.

From there she hand selected diamonds for my eternity wedding band which perfectly compliments the engagement ring, and she helped us select my husbands band. Calista examines every component of each piece and has the highest standards for her designs, only perfection will do.

Shortly after my Dad passed, my Mom took off her wedding rings. The reminder was too painful for her. I knew that I wanted to make her something special to wear - a ring that would symbolize our family. Shannon, a key member of the incredible team at Calista West, helped me create just that. I knew I wanted to feature a garnet, my dad's birthstone, along with 3 diamonds to symbolize our family. Shannon drew up different rings based on those stones. She helped me decide on a contemporary twist that beautifully represented our family. We selected an emerald shaped garnet to symbolize my parents four decades together. On the other, 3 diamonds for the 3 of us. And an open space in between as a reminder that whatever comes my Mom’s way, she should leave her heart open and take strength in knowing she is loved beyond measure.
