Townpool — Local services in Nantucket

I was very disappointed in my visit here. My daughters and I entered and immediately got “told” to put our coffees down which I can understand but the tone and the delivery was quite rude. Then, my daughter, age 14, was looking at a sweatshirt and was told to be careful. Careful? With a sweatshirt?? Meanwhile there were little kids running around with open lollipops and gummy candy. Lastly, upon leaving my daughter went to sign the door-a “thing to do” there and got yelled at for signing in the supposed wrong place. He said she “wasn’t so awesome” and was setting a bad example.

I pride myself on being a class act and my kids are too. We were simply trying to enjoy a gift shop and browse at some clothing prior to boarding the ferry. Needless to say, I will NOT be back and I truly hope they are not a successful business on Nantucket. This store gives the wrong impression for tourists of this...

this place is disgusting. the people are rude and not so awesome. worst place on nantucket. clearly the people are not fit for owning a clothing/candy store. i got yelled at for touching a stack of shirts that i was actually interested in, and got yelled at again for having a drink in the store while little kids had sticky candy. then on the way out i went to sign my name on the door (which everyone’s does) he proceeded to yell at me for signing on the not pained side and said “ur not so awesome” or “this is such a bad example”. overall it was a gross experience at this place and i do not recommend it and i would...

Townpool was by far the worst shop in Nantucket, my friends and I went in to buy candy and we were in the candy section deciding what we wanted to eat. In the first minute he told us to buy something or get out and we were still looking, after another minute he kicked us all out, my friends tried buying candy but the manager took it and told them to get out, and then he accused my friend of stealing, also when I was signing my name on the door witch everyone does, he said I wasn’t welcome there for no reason, the name wasn’t big and it was just my name.
