Whoever runs this YMCA is an absolute disgrace to the community. When you sign up, theyâll tell you about all of the guest passes you get, then as soon as you try to bring a guest, theyâll tell you they arenât allowed during the week from 3P.M.- 9P.M. This takes up the entire allotment of hours that anyone with a normal 9-5 job is able to work out. You ripped me off on that alone.
Outside of that, the facility is overstaffed with staff members that are seemingly doing nothing. They donât always verbally greet you when you walk in or out like I did when I worked at the gym as a 15 year old, they seem to rush you if youâre not 100% ready to scan your pass when you walk through the door (visibly returning to whatever school work or task theyâre doing on the company computer), and there is a rule that you cannot âhang outâ in the lobby for more than 3 hours. Whoever typed that rule, printed it, and slipped it into a plastic display, just take a second, read what you wrote, and then stare in the mirror for 3 hours and ask yourself why you hate people using the space they paid for. The main gym floor where you workout has an attendant who stands at a podium by the door on their phone for the entirety of your workout. Theyâll come over and enforce the rules (canât deadlift with your socks on without shoes like so many serious lifters enjoy), but never re-organize the weights or wipe down the equipment (youâre expected to carry a spray bottle and towel everywhere and put the weights back wherever you can find a spot for them). The gym closes at 9P.M. on the weekdays and 5P.M. on Sundays. If you do enjoy lifting late, the entire time you workout from 8-9P.M. is ruined with extremely loud announcements every 15 minutes over the PA system telling you to exit the building as soon as possible, as well as the staff literally circling around the equipment you are using, ready to clean it so they donât have to stay more than one minute past their shift. On top of all of this, the basketball court area is run using zero logic whatsoever. The court is reserved for pickleball and group fitness activities at certain times, which is obviously fair so that all types of people can use the area, but theyâll kick everyone out who is playing basketball even if there are 30 young people there who could be out getting drunk instead, like most people their age. It doesnât matter if there is no one there to play pickleball (since very few people want to do this at night on a weekday). There is no possibility of sharing the court or using it until someone does show up. No flexibility, no human feeling from the staff when they kick you out. Every worker is extremely happy to kick you out besides literally one staff member who was understanding in my year of being a member. To top things off, the manager is NEVER anywhere to be found when I have asked to speak with them about these ridiculous rules and robotic enforcement. I have asked multiple times to speak with a manager, not as a Karen, but as someone who sees glaring issues that I would like to tell you about. Each time, I have either been stymied by the rude worker who volunteers to re-explain the rule I donât agree with, or handed a business card. Notice that until now, I didnât even mention the most glaring issue: the parking system. It simply does not work and leaves a traffic jam through Nashville, as well as adding 30 minutes of waiting to your workout. Obviously this is a complicated issue to fix, but nothing is being done to encourage people not to park there, or ameliorate the issue in any way. I had to start running to the gym instead.
To the District Executive Director, thanks for the business card bro! It was a pleasure NEVER seeing you in your facility, and I am so glad you made the decision to leave this review and your baby fitness center for good as easy as possible. Also, please donât reply to me using some basic CHATGPT response like you did for all the other one-star reviews. Just maybe stop being a detached, mindless rule maker who canât speak to their...
Read moreThis is the second year my daughter has been going to Fun Company after school. The teachers watching them after school are great. The customer service department on the other hand, is not. I had my account on automatic draft for 1.5 years. Until I lost my job, and I was trying to remove it to pay it manually. I tried for over a month. No way to remove auto draft online. The teachers at the school did not have the option either. The google number is outdated, no longer in service. I emailed, with no response, and submitted online tickets that whole time. Within that time frame, they started new rule, if auto draft fails there is a $25 fee. I called them and asked for that fee to be removed since I have been on auto draft this whole time and I have been trying to get it removed with no response. They refused to remove it. They didn't reply for over a month to get my auto draft removed, and then refuse to help with the return fee they accessed to me because the auto draft got declined when I knew it would. I was informed to get with Margaret Harris and then she avoided every single email. They are great with watching the kids, but when it comes to paying and how hard it is to get in touch with them. I would not recommend having your account...
