Pros: Amazingly beautiful building, with outstanding musical artists that are normally in larger arenas, easy to find parking even free in downtown is amazing! Staff is friendly & helpful. Cons: Opening musicians sound terrible- seems as if there is something amiss with the acoustics in the venue..I've been there for 4 shows, and same each time: main headline artist knows when the sound isn't right & has to get adjustments made & THEN they've been beyond Great- the 'opening' bands don't have a chance it seems-time restraints or ?.. Either way, they may be great bands, but I'll never know lest I see them somewhere else due to feedback/reverb issues that actually hurt to listen to. Crazy lack of restrooms. Sad beer & liquor...
Read moreI was invited by a friend to go to the War Memorial Building , for a Conference on the Right to Live Movement . We enjoyed a luncheon , and several Guest Speakers , then went to the Cordell Hull Building, for signatures to back , and vote in the that no abortions are to be legal , except it be done to save the mother . also to vote in a child to be accepted as alive at conception . It was a beautiful day and I pray we save our children . I t was a beautiful day , and the People at both places were kind , and welcoming . Read moreThis is a nice landmark but there was one thing I didn't like. There are lots of signs saying no skates, skating or bikes. I totally understand and agree with this at the top of the steps but it really limits peoples access especially in a city which encourages travel via scooters. The lower area below the steps could easily be skate-able without causing damage or safety problems and if they are still worried the edges of the water feature made of marble could be protected with anti-skate attachments.
