So the room was not perfect (queen bed suite), but it was very nice and the value was incredible. Lots of space. Great full kitchen/eating/living area. Central location walkable to the main downtown sites. Also a big $$$ savings over hotels in the area. Downsides: bed dipped a little in the middle; needs more support or a mattress rotation. Bathroom counter was small; we moved an end table into the bathroom to have more space. Shower was clean and functional but basic. But the rest of the place was very nice, way better than many hotel rooms, and the value was fantastic. Would definitely go back. (The service was actually very helpful; it was the fact that it took me 20+ minutes to get in touch with them is the reason why I gave 4 stars.)
PARKING: Here's what you do: park in front of the building on the street, unload your stuff, and put your blinkers on. Go into your room and there's a parking garage card in the room on a lanyard on a shelf on the wall. Bring it back to the car and then park in the Sheraton garage right across the street, using the card to get in and out. $30 a day. Your other option is the public garage next to the Kasa, but it's $45 a day and...
Read moreThis was a great surprise find. I did not expect basically a miniature apartment which was amazing. Full-size refrigerator and stove and washing machine. They even had a clothes, washer and dryer. I was a little worried about communication as there is no Front Desk and you have to communicate through text or phone call but every time I sent a question or I needed more supplies they answered right away so the communication was absolutely not a problem. The only thing I would let you know is that it does cost $30 a day to park, which is cheaper than downtown. For me I just don’t think it was obvious in their check-in information. The parking cost details. The only other small suggestion I would give is that there needs to be more “hooks or towel racks“ in Bathroom. I will say a major positive was there were tons of hangers which I love and they give you six pillows on your bed, which is also a major plus for me. If you’re planning on keeping your luggage at the hotel after you check out, they do have a luggage room. The lockers are difficult to use and they were all full so we had to leave our luggage not locked up, but the luggage is inside the hotel, which is accessed...
Read moreGorgeous rooms! However the online listings are misleading. Our room was listed as 90$ per night but during checkout, an additional 70$ was added as a property tax in addition to regular taxes. This pretty much equated to the equivalent of booking a Marriott or another large franchise hotel in the area. The rooms were very nice though so we decided to go ahead and try something new. Parking is always a concern in downtowns so I called Kasa to confirm that parking was included and the receptionist assured us it was so we went ahead and booked. Turns out parking is NOT included. You are expected to pay for a garage nearby on your own. The closest garage was 45$ a day so another 90$ for our 2 day trip. We ended up paying over 400$ total for a weekend stay that should have been 200$ based on Kasa's advertising. I would recommend Kasa for a long stay because the property really is nice and a very convenient location but definitely not worth the hidden costs/inconvenience for just a weekend trip. You'd probably be better off just going with one of the large hotels for the same price and more...
