We’ve done lots of escape rooms over the years through different companies and different states. We’re far from professionals but we are seasoned. This one was definitely not the worst and it had great potential and all the right elements but overall the thrill and satisfaction wasn’t there. Upon arrival, there was one associate working that we interacted with and that associate was not what we were use to in a game host. There wasn’t even an attempt at enthusiasm. There was an obvious annoyance that we were there the moment the associate came to meet us and that just set the vibe for the night. We moved on, tried not to be obnoxious, headed to play our game. Because we didn’t book online and waited to make sure we made it on time with city traffic, we didn’t get the room we intended. If you don’t book/arrive 30 minutes before, that room availability closes whether it’s being used or not so you just have to do a different one, so we were told. That was wild to us but no biggy, the room wasn’t something we were set on. In the room, we did the inheritance. The room had great potential, it had the right elements, and it had the perfect level of difficulty on most puzzles. Although, there wasn’t a flow it it. There was puzzles that were kinda wonky. There were hints that repeated themselves in a misdirected way. There were times you had to use a little more force than expected or there would be a clue overtop another clue. But our biggest thing that threw us (SPOILER) you HAD to use your phone. While this was a cool twist, it was something that we had NEVER experienced in our combined 50 escape rooms. If we were given that information or even a hint at the beginning that you literally wouldn’t be able to solve some of the clues without the use of a smartphone it would have saved us a ridiculous amount of time. And there were some puzzles were ones that had to play through that felt like they were just eating away the time and you just have to go through them. There is good potential, and honestly just different circumstances, this would have been a great experience. Although, it wasn’t the...
Read moreWe did the inheritance room today with two people. The theme and ambiance of the room is phenomenal, puzzles difficultly is hard but not impossible (not including the lack of attentiveness from the game master(s) as they were switching off in the middle of our game and information was not relayed properly between them) although if you choose to play this room a cell phone is NECCESSARY to your escape as there are not just one but MULTIPLE puzzles that require you either scan or call using your cell phone (which our game masters did not tell us before or during the room but after we had failed to escape), and The Game Master(s) when we started our room we were with a female game Master (who's name I didn't catch) who when we asked for a hint through the walkie talkie they provided for the room(which also happens to be the only way they can hear you in the game) was not paying attention and giving clues that were either irrelevant or unhelpful, as when asked for clarification on hint we were met with confusion from the game Master, later on when we asked for another hint we were met with a male game Master as our game master had switched with no prior warning which left us confused as the information between the two was properly shared causing there to be a gap in understanding. This game Master was the one the came and got us at the end of the room, when we asked why our game master switched he admitted to us that the game masters move from room to room in the middle of people's games, when we gave feedback on hints, puzzles and overall game play he listened for a bit then walked out with out saying anything. Overall the experience here was incredibly disappointing and before you choose to play here please take what I said into...
Read moreHey y’all,
The rooms I did here were the “Inheritance” and “Vaccine” and here’s my breakdown.
INHERITANCE: I’ve done a lot of rooms that are labeled as “Hard” but this room was HARD. There’s a lot to do and a lot to keep track of. Something happened towards the end that made me go “OH MY GOD, WHAT?!” So expect to be very surprised if/when you get to that point. Overall, a very well designed room with great puzzles. I would never recommend this room to beginners though. It was truly difficult. Did this room with 3 other friends and I think four people is the perfect amount of people to do this room. I could never imagine doing it with the full 8. We did not get out but we still had an awesome time.
VACCINE: This room was a bit less difficult but still had a LOT of stuff to keep track of. There was some really excellent tech/interesting puzzles in this room and the ambiance really elevated the experience. If you like “spooky/creepy”, this is the room for you. I did this room with only one other person and we got out by the skin of our teeth. Get ready to run back and forth a lot lol
Tanner was our game master and was friendly and helpful from the second we walked in. Incredible employee that seemed genuinely interested in us and was an overall cool dude. Veronica was also very helpful when something went kinda sideways in the Vaccine room.
Again, I would not recommend this place for novices but if you’re an experienced escape room goer, I would highly recommend.
Overall,...
