Sales rep is arrogant and unqualified. He doesn’t know the difference between lab made diamonds, morganite, and regular diamonds. They try to sell you on designer knock offs. Really shady place, would never buy from them
Third time you've edited your response, Joey, and at this point I recommend you reach out to a PR specialist if this review is so damaging for you. As I've already stated, I am not a competitor nor a broker. I was a customer years ago when this review was written. Your fake response is just as sleazy as your sales tactics.
I’m going to edit this review again because I have no idea what you are trying to claim now that I was there to sell diamonds and looking for a broker? I was a customer. Looking for a diamond engagement ring like anyone else. This is the second time you’ve edited your response after the first was incoherent and this is even more bizarre.
Let me elaborate since your response is making up a scenario from 3 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday because I’ve never dealt with such an arrogant person that killed a very expensive deal. This is my full experience: went in looking for a pink diamond (yes I know exactly how much they go for $$$$) the sales rep claimed he had them in the back but “we wouldn’t be able to afford them” and didn’t show any colored diamonds they allegedly had. He took us to another display case to which I asked “oh is that a Tacori?” The rep goes “wow I’m surprised you know what that is. Yes, it’s the same ring Tacori makes but we don’t use their name”. He also told me that the big rings you see on instagram are “millions of dollars” in a very condescending way. That would be true if those rings were actually diamond, but any jeweler would know that an influencer wearing a 10ct ring is wearing morganite. He also said there is no possible way to distinguish between a real and lab diamond, which is of course false because you can test the off-gas. We walked out as quickly as we could and ended up purchasing from an actual...
Read moreHorrible experience. I have never written a review for an establishment being from New York City/New Jersey I am never inclined to leave reviews because of the thick skin you acquire over the years. In this case, I felt it was necessary after reading other reviews. While making my purchase I had to walk out as the older man helping me (I assume the owner but I am not entirely sure) was extremely rude and disrespectful. He answered my questions with a demeaning attitude and made it seem as if I was a burden to him. While reading other reviews I can see that he often responds with a god driven response, I myself am not very religious but I do have some faith and religion, so in that case I will too respond like he does. Luke 6:31 says "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise". This man did the opposite as I believe that he would've reacted differently if I treated him the way he treated me. I believe a pastor truly following god would not treat me the way I was treated by this man and I am sure that he will respond to this, as he responded to others, stating that I am making false claims and I need to fix the jealousy and hatred in my life and to that I say please find the nearest mirror.
I will post this under Peacock Jewelers as well as the pseudonym Village Jewelers as the same business has two names which I can only assume is to avoid scrutiny this business is facing online.
To this man: I understand there are most likely personal issues going on for why you decided to talk down to me, treat me with disrespect and be rude without reason. I hope you find reason to spread love in this world as you claim to do, as actions speak louder than words.
I hope you do not have to lose a large sale like you lost when I walked out of the door yesterday after being spoken to like I...
Read moreAs evidenced by this being my first and only review to date, I don’t do this stuff very often. However, after the experience I had with Village Jewelers I felt the need to share.
I will start by saying that we visited several other jewelry stores in the Nashville area and on almost all occasions we had fine experiences. Ultimately, though, we were unable to find THE ring. So we chose to have a ring custom made. I made the decision to use Village Jewelers and boy was that a good choice.
Joey, our salesperson, made sure to walk me through each and every step of the process. He also made sure that I understood every aspect of those processes. He assured me the ring would turn out to be everything she dreamed of. He promised the highest quality at an unbeatable price. At one point, I believed he even used the phase, “to good to be true. “ It required my trust in Joey and Village Jewelers and they surely did not disappoint.
She is 100% happy with the ring and the compliments haven’t stopped since I proposed. Her simple response to HER ring was, “It’s perfect. Every detail of the ring is exactly what I asked for.” The added bonus for me was that it actually came in slightly under budget.
Village Jewelers and Joey delivered a quick, easy, low-stress and informative buying experience for me. The ring was actually finished in three weeks after being told it could take as long as 6-8 weeks to custom make initially. They delivered for me and I’d recommend to anyone that you give Village Jewelers the chance to deliver for you. I know if/when I have future jewelry needs, I’ll give Village Jewelers the opportunity to deliver once again.
To all those at Village Jewelers that may read this, let me simply say, “Thank you and that I could not be happier with the ring and my experience with...
