I was here with my girlfriend on 8/15/2025. She was transported 100 miles from Vanderbilt in Tullamhoma to Vanderbilt in Nashville. Her leg was severely broken and needing surgery. Once she got there she was left in the hallway for 12 hours. During this time she received nothing for her pain, and told by several nursing staff that they were to busy to help her at the moment. When she had to use the restroom they were just going to let her sit there and do that on herself. I snapped out resulting in getting myself kick out of the hospital. But she finally got put into a room and given medication. I returned the next day to the room she was placed in post operation where everything was fine. The nurses are awesome there, her needs are being met, they even have a comfortable futon for me to sleep on while I'm with her. Speaking with the nursing staff on this floor about the ER, their reply was, "The ER is like a completely different world sadly". That hospital controls so much money that they can laugh at any lawsuits brought against them. They do some good there don't get me wrong. But the bad is really bad. In 2010 they had double the national average of hospital bourne illnesses. That's one hospital double the illnesses of the whole...
Read moreAnd I just may be a little salty because I've been waiting for a hospital bed on a planned admission for 12 hours now... And maybe the security guard just caught me at a bad moment when I was trying to let my grandmother know that I was going to be coming home tonight instead of 5 days from now since they can't get me a bed in a reasonable time and this guard just caught me at the bad moment when I was getting ready to put the drink to my mouth and interrupting my phone call to tell me that I needed to put this stupid mask on. Oh man oh man let me tell you this hospital will be more than happy to let you wait for 12 hours on a scheduled admission. But let me tell you the security guards though They are on their game let me tell you they will come out of a section that they are patrolling to let you know that you need to put your mask back on, even when you're getting ready taking a drink. If they had as good of bed turnaround time as the guards were on their game goodness this hospital will be running in...
Read moreAudit Students Beware: The university created a 'school' email address for me without notifying me and sent all e-bills to this account, which I had no access to. By the time they notified me on my personal email of semester fees and tuition, I had accrued 140% in interest and late fees, despite having called Student Accounts at the beginning of the semester to confirm no outstanding fees or tuition existed.
Pam in Student Accounts refused to even respond to me when I requested proof of when and how the university allegedly notified me about the email address they had created. Unethical and shockingly callous customer service - and incredibly steep fees that I could have avoided altogether had they properly communicated with me.
I was financially punished for their amateur operations, and forced to pay late fees on the threat of being sent to a debt collection agency. I can only express my disgust at a system that cares more about their financial gain than the ethical treatment of...
