Over the years, we have come to own multiple pieces of jewelry from Zales - mine and my husband’s engagement/wedding rings, earrings, necklaces, pearls - you name it! We loved the versatility of designs, pricing, the convenience, etc. We visited and received service in multiple stores including this one, and have always been receiving good professional treatment. That is, until I stopped by the Natick location earlier this year with two of my girlfriends. It was just before Valentine’s. We came in, I brought a few of my pieces to be cleaned - and the woman at the store started very loudly and rudely accusing me of not bringing receipts with me for each one of those items. I said it wasn’t a big deal, that I can come back with receipts next time, but that I was under the impression they would be able to look up all the stuff they needed from my online account. Another lady came by and told the first woman that they indeed are able to do that - so there was no point in shaming me and making me feel bad for not bringing old receipts with me. The first woman proceeded to attempt to look up the info in my account, grabbing the pieces I brought, handling them very carelessly. She kept making mistakes in the system and getting an error, she was clearly not comfortable using a computer and their system, getting more frustrated and taking it out on me. The second woman finally came back and it turned out they never even needed my info, they only need it if they have to inspect the stone/setting, while all I asked for was a cleaning. So, they put me through all that trouble for nothing. While we waited for the cleaning to be done me and both my friends mentioned we are looking for a potential purchase, or maybe at least find a piece that we could show to our partners as “inspiration” for a Valentine’s gift, as girls do 😅 We looked at several items on the display and the store attendant never asked us a single question or offered to show us any of the items we were interested in. I left the store feeling so bad it almost ruined the first proper girls day outing my friends and I had in years. I was a regular customer - Zales was my family’s jewelry store of choice, and we were fully planning to keep using it for all our future occasions. Now, I will never come back to that store, and I will never buy from any Zales store ever again. Buying jewelry is usually accompanied by happy occasions and milestones in our lives. I will never risk spoiling those happy moments with a chance of encountering rude, untrained, unprofessional employees. P.S. my husband did end up gifting me with earrings that Valentine’s day - but he chose to spend his...
Read moreHORRIBLE. I repeat, HORRIBLE. Quite possibly one of the worst experiences you'll ever have. Although I would never order a large diamond from here - My wedding band had become a little too scratched up for me so I wanted to find a new band without paying an arm and a leg. I ended up getting just a thin band with diamond chips all the way around. The woman told me that all rings come in a size 6 (I am a 4) so I had to have it resized. She offered me rush shipping since they did not have my size and she knew I wanted to wear it immediately. I took the rush shipping. Little did we know that when we picked up the ring they would charge 88 dollars for rush shipping. It's not the extra uncommunicated cost that bothered me but the staff and management. The women working both when I purchased the ring and when I returned it were so unprofessional, teeny bopper little brats that wear too much makeup. The manager stays behind the counter pretending to count money and doesn't care to acknowledge any of the customers. I should have read these reviews before going in but I figured how can you really mess up a band? Oh it gets better. When I came to pick up the ring it took them a good thirty mins before they could find it as the girl repeatedly asked me "are you sure you purchased the ring here because I can't find it anywhere" "did someone from here call you and tell you it was ready" I told her yes and she rolled her eyes. Pathetic. Finally she found it, then gave her manager attitude because it "shouldn't have been where I found it". We also did not receive a box or even a bag for our ring just a simple cheesy receipt handed over to us. Spend your money elsewhere and go somewhere that cares about...
Read moreWorst experience ever. My partner and I purchased two engagement rings from this store and Mary was very convincing from the very start. We waited 6 weeks for one ring and it was completely the wrong size when it arrived. It was suppose to be a size 5 and it was a 7. It was a custom ring and the diamond setting were uneven. The ring sat there for a week before we went to pick it up and nobody checked that the ring was the correct ring ordered. It was fixed within a week. I had to wait 9 weeks for my ring and it arrived 1.5 carat instead of a two carat that I ordered and it was the wrong size too. Luckily it did fit me Ok. I was told they would order the same ring in a two carat that i had ordered and paid for. The ring was not at all what I ordered. It was really another disappointment and a frustrating process. I ended up with the 1.5 Carat because I didn't have the confidence in Mary or Luis to do a good job. They were very unprofessional with some of their comments and what was suppose to be an exciting moment in our lives was a huge disappointment. I would NEVER go back to this store again. There isn't a proper manager either to handle the situation. Below is a pic of the ring on the left that I ordered and the ring on the right is a completely different ring. Go somewhere else and get the service...
