The Shop — Local services in Nederland

During a recent excursion with an out of town friend I discovered "The Shop". A lover of all things thrift and consignment I was thrilled to find this gem in the heart of downtown Nederland.

What can I say, the sale rack just outside the store drew us right in. Upon entering the shop I was surprised by it's size (it spans two rooms). Additionally the shop has encased jewelry as well as locally made jewelry featured near the cash register.

The shop featured day to day clothing, work attire, warm weather gear, accessories and footwear.

Unfortunately I didn't get to take as much time as I would have liked in the shop (after all I had an out of town guest who refuses to wear second hand clothing). I was surprised indeed by all the great finds, locally made leather earrings, astronaut Cabbage Patch Dolls (Lila Brandy my cabbage patch doll would have loved a little astronaut friend), cowboy boots, and loads of outerwear.

I'll definitely drop in the next time I'm in town, after all this shop is just steps away from my favorite Nederland Cafe (New Moon Cafe...

I had a wonderful experience shopping at this lovely boutique! I bought a beautiful pair of sandals for my wife, and she absolutely loved them. The quality and design were top-notch. What truly made this visit special was the warm hospitality and great communication from the owner. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in what they do. My friend purchased this very unique pair of cargo shorts for a bargain from this store and when I went to the same store to get a pair of my own, I was certainly amazed by how cute and different this store is compared to other clothing shops in the New York area.
