I would not recommend Dr. Tetro at all. I had an incidental finding of fluid on X ray in one of my lung after a previous viral infection in the middle of December. Dr. Tetro gave me a treatment. On December 30 I did not feel well and went to NYU Langone Radiology to repeat chest X ray early morning. It was Friday I know Dr. Tetro is working until 3 pm. About noon 🕛 12 I called to the office to find out what is my X-ray result. Secretary Stefani said IF any abnormality Dr. Tetro will call you. NoONE called me. I am assuming my morning X stay ok. It was New Year Holidays December 31 January 1,2,3 off. On January 4 I came to the office for a different reason. I did not feel well all this days. Now on January 4 Dr. Tetro Oh Natallia I was about to call you! YOU HAVE a PNEUMONIA!!!! U need to take antibiotics. Oh Really Dr. Tetro?? Probably YOU NEED to check labs results ON TIME??? THIS is DOCTORS DIRECT RESPONSIBILITY !!!! I did chest X Ray 7 days Ago!!! PEOPLE ARE DYING from Covid PNEUMONIA! Thanks God I survived under Dr. Tetro care. No Thank you. Absolutely unacceptable!!! Up to now middle of February I did not fully recover from this pneumonia. After 18 days on sick leave She sent me back to work !!! She doesn’t care. Stay away from Dr. Tetro. Save your...
Read moreMy review is based on my experience with reception. I called to make a first time appointment as a new patient as I read the wonderful reviews for Dr. Tetro. I made an appointment and then realized a scheduling conflict so I called back to move the date to a few days later. I was told by the receptionist/admin I would have to wait until the doctor opened the schedule for that month, although I had already scheduled a date for that month. I asked if I could call back at the beginning of the month to reschedule and I was told yes. As promised, I called back at the start of the new month, to be told the same thing. I call the following day, told the same thing. I didn’t want to hold up the appointment I had made and let her know I would like to come for the new date, so I was going to cancel. I asked if I could be called when the month opened up per the Dr to set up the appointment ( I didn’t want to harass them) and I was told by the person that I would receive a call back. That was last Tuesday and I’ve heard nothing since. I’m sure the Dr. is a wonderful Dr. based on stellar reviews, but as a first time patient, all of this inconsistency to make an appointment says a lot about professionalism and the...
Read moreCalled today for a small emergency and asked to be placed in at any time the doctor would see me (as they made it clear the doctor leaves at 4). They were not able to fit me in the schedule so I asked to speak to the doctor over the phone for a few minutes as this was an emergency and they would be closed until the following Monday. The receptionist said 'no,' repeatedly and when I asked why, she said "the doctor wants you to come in to the office since you haven't been seen since January." How am I suppose to come in when you won't even fit me in the schedule? And then tells me to go to a hospital if it's an emergency. I understand that doctors have their own lives but please be understanding of your patients as well. Just because I have kept myself healthy since my visit from January, doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to speak to or see my doctor now for an urgent matter. Yes I also understand that I can go to an urgent care but I am more comfortable to speak with MY pcp. It also should not be hard to hire nicer people to work...
