36th Street is situated in the Sunnyside section of Queens, the station is served by the M and R trains during weekdays, the E during weeknights and the F during disruptions. 36th Street, this one being in Queens and also being served by R train, is decent, however because the F train joins the Queens Blvd line here, the noise the train makes while on the points is loud, this is particularly inconvenient if you are on the phone, or talking to someone. To add to the issues of this station, the arrival times for M and R trains can be very inconvenient, and people confuse this station for the one in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I suggest the MTA changes the name of this station to prevent anymore confusion and give this station enhancements as soon...
Read moreLots of complaints about this station. The local route is under construction almost once a month, which completely shuts down one entire side of the station for the entire weekend. The station is very dirty, doesn’t have AC, and sometimes has homeless people loitering. Once on my commute to work, I had a suspicious individual come up to my face and start screaming - it was a very unpleasant and scary situation. The entry to the station is annoying as well because it’s a full door and not a turnstile, making it a huge pain to enter when there’s a lot of people. It’s also a small station so you can’t access both sides from one entrance, which means if you paid and entered on the wrong side, you have to go up and pay again to enter from...
Read moreThe MTA is the worst. Trains are always delayed without reason and routine maintenance work is never performed. Riders suffer through MTA's weekend "work" schedules. "Work" is done for long periods of time --months even, which create more delays and leaves many stranded with extremely limited options of transportation. The end result of the "work" performed has never fixed the delays, dirty trains, hot subway station, poor lighting inside trains and on the platform, nor has there been any upgrades to the signal technology on which the MTA trains depend on. The MTA's poor management is the core problem. While the riders continue to pay for unjustified fares hikes and poor train service. The MTA doesn't even...
