There are no words to describe how fantastic this hotel is!! Everything was very neat and clean. They have free razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and a couple other things in case you forget them which is great for travelers! The complimentary breakfast was delicious, though I will say by the end of 7 days in a row of eating the same thing, I did want some variety. The breakfast hit all the main food points with bread, yogurt, cereal, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, and juice. My only real complaint is that the juice was too watery. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful; more so than I ever would have expected. One of the front desk staff members helped look up pharmacies for me when I needed to find a product after I got sunburned. Any other items that were requested were sent up to the room as soon as we asked. One of my favorite things was that the employee who cleaned my room made sure to set my stuffed animal up nicely on the pillows every day. :) In the lobby there was always a big container of cold lemon water which was fantastic, because water fountains are hard to find in New York. The biggest issue I had while staying here was that I couldn't figure out how the thermostat worked. I tried everything I could think of but it stayed the same temperature. They also held my bags before I checked in and after I checked out so I wasn't tied down with them. Overall, it was a fantastic experience especially considering it was a very reasonable price.

I stayed in this hotel with my mom and a baby for 15 days , what annoyed me was every time I rebooked I had to pay another $100 security deposit which is refundable but takes 2-5 b days , here my pros and cons : fronts desk staff especially males are very helpful when I ask for shampoos , tissue ..and even when I left one of them helped me with the luggage however females aren’t friendly and not very accommodating same thing goes on housekeepers, some of them are nice but one lady especially the one who cleaned my room when I found stain on the cover is not into her job , she hated me when I asked her to clean the bathroom in fact she didn’t do it twice and gave me smelly pillow cases twice, about the room itself is cozy and clean , don’t count on breakfast is just granola bars some muffins and small waters, I love the quality of their shampoos and conditioners surprisingly good, no refrigerator or microwave in rooms which is not convenient for long stay guest ,we throw a lot of food items buz of that , parking is a struggle on Thursday and Friday because of alternate side parking , and for the last two days the guests on the other room were so noisy late at night walking back and fourth between two rooms and talking laughing loudly in the hallway but that is the lack of consideration from those guest not the hotel’s fault , overall this hotel is better than so many in the area.

I saw some negative comments about this hotel, and I was afraid about it, however I had a great experience at the Microtel. Highlights: - I dropped off my baggage at the hotel before the check in. That was a big deal for me! - Clean spaces - Large and comfortable bed - Refrigerator in the bedroom - Location next to the subway station (5 minutes walking) - Easy check-in and check out The neighborhood looks nice, I walked at night and didn’t have any problems. About the breakfast, there were just coffee, tea, hot water, juice, yogurt, cereal bars, muffins and canned fruits. So, the breakfast could be better.

Do not fall for the photos. The hotel is really not as good as it seems.

Your room will look incredible at first sight. But as soon as you use your bathroom, thing will go wrong. You will need to solve a riddle before you will be able to use the shower. The shower mountings is done poorly. The shower curtain had mold on the lower end. And if you wash your hands, you will flood your bathroom.

The location of this hotel is terrifying. You should know that there is another hotel directly next to this facility which is used as a homeless shelter. You can imagine which kind of persons you will meet on the street here. Overall, the streets in the neighborhood are super rubbish-strewn.

You might be able to sleep if you have high-classed earplugs. During the week, you will hear the the N and W train all-day-long. Look on Google Maps so that you see that the rails are super close. If not, there will be noise from the construction area directly next to the hotel or the traffic noise from Northern Blvd. You should also consider that this hotel is hosting loud persons as well. We had a freshman-party next to us. The receptionists did nothing to solve this matter.

The breakfast is awful. You will find jelly, peanut butter and cream cheese, the only toppings for your bagel or toast every single day. You can also decide to challenge your stomach and eat one of the cold hard-boiled eggs which is in a strange liquid. Pastries are all unfrozen. Do not ask the service ladies for any wishes as they do not understand and speak English. Poor service. Both ladies will rather shout some Spanish in their smartphones than refill the food in the breakfast area. I don't understand why you would ever let anybody work for you if they do calls during working time and are not willing to speak the official language of a country. On top of it, you will produce a huge amount of trash by using all these disposable tableware. Disgusting.

As this facility is new, I don't know how the manager is not able to advertise the hotel correctly. I booked my room on the premise to "squeeze in a workout at our fitness center" as they state on their own website. The center shall be "on-side". But when I asked one of the receptionists, they have never heard of a fitness center. They also did nothing to solve this problem.

I would never book a room at this hotel again. There are plenty in NYC where I can spend my money and have a better breakfast, English-speaking service and a fitness center if it...

ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS! I was booked from Friday to Monday. Upon arrival everything seemed pleasant enough with the room and hotel. As the night wore on I was disturbed by the very audible slamming of the doors of the other rooms on the floor where I was staying. I tried to reach the front desk several times and the call was never answered. Finally I was able to fall and stay asleep sometime between 2 and 3 am. Next morning I went out about my business. Immediately upon exiting the elevator upon my return that afternoon, I was assaulted by the stench of marijuana smoke. This was incidentally a non smoking floor. I called to report it and “Kristen” said she’d investigate. A few hours later the slamming of doors ensued again. Again I tried several times to reach the front desk and there was no answer. I called the direct number to the hotel instead of dialing zero on the landline and got a booking agent. She connected me to the “concierge” who said she’d been too “busy”, to answer; if you can believe that. First rule of reception is answer the phone ASAP. Finally I realized I’d have another difficult night in this ghetto fabulous establishment if I stayed. I left my room and informed “Kristen”, in the lobby, that I’d be leaving due to the noise and disturbance of the still present smell of marijuana, hours later. She responded by saying “that’s fine”. I mean, I can’t believe this attitude of indifference. I called Wyndham and gave my account of my experience and was directed to call Hotels dot com to pursue a waiver for a refund. I had to call hotels dot com again after two days of waiting for a follow up to my initial call and update on the status of my refund and not getting any. They had to call the manager of the hotel while I held the line. They informed me that the manager acknowledged the incidents and said there was nothing she could do about it. They’re keeping my money and all after allowing this illegal and dangerous activity to interfere with my lawful and good faith reservation. I can’t express fully enough my anger, frustration and disappointment. I feel that I have been robbed. I would advise anyone and everyone to avoid this hotel. Thanks...

WHAT WOULD YOU DO?!

The day we arrived we discovered that the room I wanted to book wasn’t the one that we had at the end on the reservation. So Due to there was a misunderstanding with Agoda and after calling them the hotel agreed to change our room to a double bed room and they told us that it would be a possibility of being change on the 15 th to a one bed room, but if this would happened they will let us know about it .

Today, (15th ) no one told us anything about it Even not the night before that Not even a call NOTHING.

What a SURPRISE that when we arrived to the hotel at night I discovered that they had charged me an EXTRA 100 DOLLARS without even telling me that this might happened if we decided not to change the room.

What a funny situation when I told them why they didn’t call me to let me know and they said :

“ we called you multiple times today and nobody answered”

What a funny answer for them when I asked them to have a look on my cell phone number at their system and I discovered that THEY DIDNT HAVE IT .

It is really convenient for them NOT TO AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCES at first.

How funny that this isn’t LEGAL !!!!!!

Apparently this decision was made by BRYAN ALVAREZ (General Manager ) who decided that he was in his rights to take my MONEY without informed me first.

In addition to this ISSUE I have to make clear that it were US the ones who went to reception asking if everything was in order regarding this situation.

On the other hand,If we haven’t gone to reception once we arrived they WOULD NOT EVEN TOLD US ANYTHING. And you suppose to give a good service and call yourself professional .

Also, and just to let you know that we didn’t make any complain about having our room in front of a very LOUD construction work that Started everyday around 5:30 am .

Or let’s not talk about THE RATS that there are around the hotel , very CUTE If you like them.

So let me ask you ask you know ...

WHAT...
