Had to say our recent NYC vacation could have done without a subway ride. We were originally wanting to take a train as we had been told that unless you knew what you were doing, it was easy to get lost on the subway. Right - that almost happened. We only chose the subway because the guy at the train station told us that was our most direct route. NOT. We ended paying twice because we were misdirected. Oh well. Live and learn.
TCTC
Corner of Lexington and 51st street. Long way down to the trains from the street. But as long as the escalators are working, it won't be an issue :)

As most of the MTA Stations, this one is also on horrible condition.

You going to have to try to control the homeless people that at your McDonald's the workers have to talk less to each other and attend to the customer this morning instead of giving me a fork for my big breakfast they give me a spoon last week they forgot to give me the fork and knife the kid behind the counter with his pants falling yes the one with the dreadlocks not in a hat he's dealing with food the table needs to be cleaned down regularly what a mess you need...

It's a hell of a walk up the broken escalator transferring from the E Line! Whew, I was about three quarters of the way up when I thought I was going to have to stop to take a break because my legs were so jell-o and I was only still moving up the stairs solely because my arms were pulling me up. I would have stopped had there not been people behind me pressuring me to keep moving and no way for them to pass because the stairs on the escalator are so...
