If I could rate our event experience 6 out of 5, then mark it now! We had our daughter's Bat Mitzvah (60 total) here yesterday afternoon. This was 6 months of plannng since signing the contract. At EVERY SINGLE STAGE, their professional service, attention to details, and personal touches made this one of the best major occasion experiences in my 47yrs! Ilda, the planning manager - so willing to listen and be accommodating helping every instance to solve little and big hiccups. She never seemed flustered or unwilling to chat with me. THANK YOU ILDA!!!! Day of the event, Georgio, was our maître d' . He said, "What ever you need, I'll make it happen for you." And he absolutely did too. The bartenders were fast, but talented, and kind (when does that ever happen??) They made a child guest feel special by hanging his drawing on the bar rack. The waiters and hostesses, were also attentive and they did it all with grace, promptness and sincerity... With a REAL smile. None of it was contrived or an attitude of, "This is my job so whatever". 1000% genuine service. I know this because EVERY single one of my adult guests complimented how wonderful the staff were... several times! The kids had a lot of fun too, and always remembered who the Bat Mitzvah girl was. They were kind to the eldery/slow parents, and were playful with my kids. They were also kind to my vendor staff and checking on their needs. The service reminded me of old school Americana, where the staff knew they had one mission: make the guests happy, and do it effortlessly. If I ever need to host this style of event again: an anniversary, or big milestone birthdbridal shower etc for 50 - 125 people no doubt it will be here.
And I will emphasize this is an authentic review. I give brutally honest reviews (read up!), both positive and negative. This by far is the most positive one I've ever written.
If there's one criticism, I will say both my daughter and I never ate our rack of Lamb's (we had two bites maybe), I wish someone Would have saved it for us. It's so delicious! I do know if I spoke up they would have, but being the party host it was one thing I didn't focus on: myself! Even that wouldn't change my 6 star review, however.
This is also a BEAUTIFUL SPACE! An old Opera house, very high ceilings with a majestic feel.
Look no further if you want an impeccable special afternoon event or just to enjoy a sit down dinner on any night. You will be be more than delighted.

Date of Visit: November 5th, 2023 Location: Empire Steak House, 151 E 50th Street, New York, NY
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Empire Steak House on November 5th, 2023, following the New York City Marathon. Our overall experience was so exceptional that I felt compelled to share our gratitude through this review.
From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the level of service we received was nothing short of impeccable. Mr. Albert Shabanhaxhaj, the managerial maestro, and his outstanding team truly went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable.
Considering that we were pressed for time due to a flight back to Florida, the staff's ability to provide superior service without compromising quality was truly commendable. They were not only efficient but also displayed an extraordinary level of attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy that we rarely encounter, even in our home state.
Living in Florida, where exceptional service can sometimes be elusive, our visit to Empire Steak House was a breath of fresh air. The staff's dedication to ensuring we had a delightful experience, despite our time constraints, left a lasting impression.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. The flavors and temperatures of the dishes we ordered were nothing short of perfection. Each bite was a culinary delight that elevated our post-marathon celebration to new heights. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste showcased the culinary expertise of the kitchen staff.
In conclusion, I want to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Albert Shabanhaxhaj and the entire team at Empire Steak House for making our visit an unforgettable one. Your commitment to excellence and passion for delivering top-notch service truly set Empire Steak House apart. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a dining experience that seamlessly combines exceptional service with exquisite food.
Thank you once again for making our post-marathon celebration truly special. We look forward to returning on our next visit to...
Read moreGood morning: I visited Empire Stake 3 times before, December 2018, with family (We had a reservation for the East side but by mistake, we ended up in the West side), it was very cramped, but service was ok and food OUTSTANDING!!!. Then March 2019, went again for my husbands birthday. this time we got it right and when to the East side. We felt like Royalty, excellent service treated like royalty, and the food, again outstanding. Then I went once for lunch by my self and it was good sat at the bar and had something quick. Now, this was my forth visit. Things went a little bit south. i understand the St. Valentine's Day is very busy for a restaurant, but believe the restaurant should be prepared for this. We went late, as reservation available was at 10:30, but my experience before was so good, that I decided to take it. We were sat at a table for 5, against the wall right hand side in the room passing under the wine rack. One we were sitting, we had to stand because they need something from like a hided cabinet behind the table, no biggie. Then our order was taken. Weird enough, we got 2 entrees, with none of the soups that were ordered. That food belonged to the table on our side. Luckily, the neighbors realized that that was their food. then we got our steaks. 10 minutes latter we got the steak knives. when finishing, we got our drinks. Positive notes, the ladies got roses. and the only dessert that was ordered came out, one timely, and then another one by mistake. The steaks, potatoes macaroni and cheese, were good, as always, really delicious pieces of steak, but the octopus I felt in love last time was tasteless, and lobster bisque was ok. Was thinking on going again in March , for another birthday celebration, not so sure now.
Well, spoke with my other half, and he wants to give it another try. Will do the reservation for Friday...
