Attempted to purchase a muffin along side an iced coffee, the coffee was my 7th and so free. The cashier rang me up and the appropriate discount was given. At first I attempted Google pay for the rest of my purchase... it didn't work, just gave a card read error. I went on to use my physical debit card, I explained to the cashier that the chip on the card doesn't work and so I would have to attempt to insert it 3 times prior to being able to swipe it successfully (this is standard in cases of chip malfunction). I went through that process and when I swiped the terminal displayed the message "card accepted" and prompted me to enter my pin. As I was entering my pin the cashier cancels my ability to do so and insisted that I insert twice more. After doing so the terminal failed to read my card in any way, including even error messages. I apologize and ask him to help the person behind me as I figured out how to make a payment work. I tried the option of mobile checkout with my phone, I asked the employee if they had the QR code reader anywhere and I was told no. I apologized and said there was no way I could pay for the remaining item and said I would have to leave the muffin. When I started to leave with my coffee (which was legitimately paid for via punch card promo) the cashier loudly declared I would have to leave that as well, he accused me of causing drama and also loudly accused me of having no money (which for the purpose of a muffin purchase was certainly not true, I had more than enough). More than anything this was embarrassing... it was also frustrating. Why would he cancel the process while I was entering my pin number? And why does the app say mobile checkout is available at this location when it isn't? I very likely could have paid, instead it feels like I was actively hindered from doing so, publicly embarrassed and accused of causing drama... what's...
Read moreThe cashier is a nasty piece of work. He literally harassed me while I was making my coffee about using an extra cup (it was stuck together). So I asked him why was he following around the store for a10 cent cup... Did he want one for himself or was he going to help me take the cups apart!? Lol. When I got to the register he tried to charge me for 2 cups of coffee. At this time there was a huge line while he was making a scene. The guy is a sneaky scammer. And yes racist bigot. Just looking for a reason to start a fight. Pitiful. I used to work on wall Street and came to visit my former coworkers and he is still doing the same things he was going 3 years ago when he took over. They have loyal customers who come in three times a day for coffee from across the street from their office and they have people who come in and steal and panhandle and instead of treating their loyal customers who pay money with kindness and grace they harass them like felons and criminals while they're scared of the people who actually coming and steal from them. The people at the 711 Fulton Street location have much better customer service, is just always homeless ppl inside. I would suggest taking your money there. Don't make people who don't...
Read moreI walked out buying nothing because cahlshiwr refuses to take off unwanted item from my bill. I went in about an hour ago for chicken tenders. I asked for 3 piece combo; I was told that it comes with. 2 sides . I asked if I can have mashed potatoes - I was told no; I asked for Mac and cheese and fries pickles. Guy goes to prepare it and another cashier tries to ring me up where I see I am buying not only the combo but a separate side ala crate item. I asked why the additional charge and the first guy who took my order said â JUST RING HER UP AS ISâ I ask what is that supposed to mean??? The combo as is does not include two Separate charges!! Then he says it comes with one item; I was like - Iâm sure you said two; but ok take one side off; I only want the tenders combo as it comes . When he refused to take off the extra charge again I walked! This was very personal kind of experience- cook kept saying to cashier - just charge her; charge her for everything; but sir I donât want everything. I was misled by you! And you didnât want to correct the Mistake; you canât force me to pay what I donât want...
