Popped is this place for a quick bite after a long day at the Seaport in the hot sun. Lots of tourists...and with a name that includes "Little Italy"...it draws a crowd. The line moves quick and the workers there are very efficient. The ordering area in the front is very crowded and tight, especially given that the cashier and single fountain drink machine are very close to each other. So after you cash out, you immediately turn and get your self-serve drink, which can understandably get backed up. Luckily there is a decent seating area which, despite on a Saturday afternoon, was empty enough to snag two seats. Pizza is generally a quick food, so people are constantly coming and going. Though don't expect to seat a large crowd...it may be tough. As for the pizza itself...as a New Yorker, our pizza standards are pretty high..but I would give this pizza a solid 2.5. It was okay. cheesy enough but nothing really stood out. The sauce and crust were blah. Overall this was a nice stop if you are hungry and in the area. The crust is perfectly thin and crispy, yet has just the right amount of chewiness to hold up the generous toppings. Whether you’re a fan of a simple, cheesy Margherita or love piling on toppings like pepperoni and veggies, each slice is packed with flavor. The sauce is tangy, the cheese is gooey, and the fresh ingredients take it to the next level.
One of the things I loved most is the welcoming, no-frills vibe of the place. It’s bustling with locals and tourists alike, and the staff is always friendly and quick with your order. Plus, they have an amazing variety – from classic pies to specialty options like white pizza or Grandma’s slice.
Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite on-the-go or sitting down for a casual meal, Little Italy Pizza never disappoints. If you’re a pizza lover in NYC, this place should be at the top...
Read morePizza is good however, on today visits this young man on his phone was being very rude just because I placed an order online for pick up and on their online menu they did not have “chicken bacon ranch” when I go inside the place, it turns out they do have chicken bacon ranch. I asked politely if I am able to exchange the buffalo pizza I had previously ordered for the ranch & he was very upset, was super rude to me. I’m not sure what his actual problem was but he should not be working at a place where customer service is needed for a business to flow. The manager was able to exchange it for me for an extra dollar which is fine. But I’ll just stick to Joe’s pizza next time where they have employees that actually care about their customers! & just to add on he had gloves on while using his phone while working at a food place!! Truly truly...
