99¢ Savings — Local services in New York

My experience here was so horrible. So first I came with 2.50 on me the next day after buying this gift bag with my mother and picked out a different one and same size. The same lady that charged us before said the bag I got was 2.99 which brings it up to 3.26, so I'm like ok I will get the same exact bag from the day before since from one day to thw next the price can't change. She tells me the price is still 2.99 and I tell her how if she charged us the day before the Same exact gift bag for 1.99. So she was being debateful and combative. So I came back with the Same exact gift bag that was bought and the receipt on my phone because my mother was far away. I asked for the manager and mind you I had the 3.50 on me now but it's the whole principle and moral. The manager was unprofessional. He said that it was a mistake and was rude. He did not even apologize except told me that I make mistakes right but the difference with that is that I'm the customer. So as the customer how do you make it right? He could of said ma'am I apologize this is not the price for the bag but since the mistake was on us I will give it to you for the Same price as it was yesterday and that for the future reference I know that the price is in fact 2.99. But no he didn't do that. Instead he told me where by law is the customer always right and being that I all honesty in retails and fast food they teach you that even if the customer is not always right that is a slogan used to provide customer service satisfaction and great customer service. As a medical professional we are thought in that field that when the patient is agitated we alleviate a bit by at least providing a apology which is called patient relations. So the fact that threw was no apology and they made me seem and looked as a liar and delusional and I had to show proof which I had saids alot. Because even in general in life they tell you if you make a mistake the most humane thing is to fix it and make it right. Will not be visiting this discount store again after going there for years especially since they want to step over your character. By the way I went to the next block a discount store and got a bigger bag after this and prettier for 1.99 and the people was polite. Lost a loyal...
