J.K. & Sons — Restaurant in New York

This is an old school diner, with an new school flair. The offerings are superb with an abundance to choose from. I just don’t choose unconventional offerings at a diner like salad or seafood, so I keep it simple. However, you’re always greeted kindly and whatever you have comes quick and hot. I mainly get the pancake platter, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries or grits and if I’m feeling a little saucy the corn beef hash - they’ll provide dollops of real butter, if asked, and coffee is decent -no awards there but what do you expect? It checks all the marks for an old school diner people, food is always gonna be above average 4 out of 5, diner is clean, service is good. I order from this place almost daily. Not only do I religiously give a $2 tip (which is optional and dependent on actual professional/good service) but I ALWAYS spend more than $15 each time. I’ve dealt with eating cold omelettes, being spoken to in a rude way (the guy that always answers the phone) and a spilled ice coffee in my delivery bag all in the name of being hungry and actually liking their pancakes. I ordered today like I always do and I was told the delivery guys refuse to deliver to me because “I never tip”. Despite the fact that they are rude, never outside when they say they are I ALWAYS tip whether cash or by card so I’m extremely disappointed + want my damn tips back......

Horrible. First of all, food is overpriced for what it is. What's worse, when we were eating, water poured down on my mother from their AC vent on the ceiling. I'm not talking about drips but significant amount of water pouring out. I called staff's attention, and 3-4 employees saw the water pouring down on my mother, but no one did or say anything, NOTHING. I had to actually complain to the waiter that they didn't even offer a single word of apology just for him to reply, "well, it's just AC." I had to raise my voice to get him to apologize to my mother. There were other customers there who seemed shocked to witness this whole thing also. This restaurant is ridiculous. Never...
