Called about 6:45pm EST-prior to going, to confirm. They told me to arrive by 7:45pm. I entered the establishment for a mani and pedi, from JENNY!, and a massage. JENNY & another worker did my nails/feet the prior month (November), as that was my second time there. My Bday was the next day (December) and my flight also departed that next day-afternoon, so I couldn’t reschedule. While getting my pedi by a Mexican woman (who i didn’t ask for), I got highly upset. But didn’t say a word. At this point, I should’ve been getting the foil and cotton to remove my gel on my (two) nails. BC their gel didn’t last that long, it was lifting off my fingers anyway. so, I peeled the other eight (8) fingers off at home. JENNY sees food in my lap and tells me to eat. She also starts eating. I swallow about five forks full (in a rush) and start to cover my plate, when she tells me not to rush and on continue eating, and she’ll begin my mani afterwards. A Caucasian women enters the shop and JENNY proceeds to do her pedicure and then manicure. 😡 I was so upset that if the polish wasn’t already off of my toes-I would’ve walked out. The Mexican lady used the electric machine to remove my gel and started to cut the skin around my toes. I told her she was hurting me and she started laughing. Annoyed to the max at this point! I felt “handled”. It seemed so rude and unprofessional for JENNY to not even acknowledge me once she began to work on the women’s toes and then her nails. I didn’t tip bc I wasn’t satisfied with the service I received & I wanted to convey that message financially (since clearly, that’s their focus). Once I was asked to tip (the audacity), the asking technician (who must’ve been the manager) got upset and started to argue with me! Why not make a scene when the lady skipped me and no one acknowledged it? I’m in the business of teaching people how to treat me! I’m never patronizing their establishment ever again. I’m going to use press ons-instead. When I return I’ll be using another salon altogether. They were giving me another card to fill out, for services rendered, bc after ten, you get some sort of discount. I declined the December entry log. Bc I knew I was never going back. I can guarantee, as an African American woman, she wouldn’t have done that to the Caucasian woman, for me! It was the blatant disrespect & it didn’t exhibit great customer service at all. HBD TO ME, from Alice Nail Salon. đŸ„ł

Visit started off great. The lady who I believe is the owner/manager walked me through the options and helped me choose a shade. My pedicure was done by a Hispanic tech (I think her name was Maria?). She did a great job. For my hands, I got an SNS tip set, which was done by who I think is either the owner or manager. She was nice, but since she was managing everything: checking in walk-ins, answering phone calls, and handling payments. I felt my appointment took longer than necessary. (I arrived at 5:30 and I was done around 7:40) She also accidentally cut my cuticle twice and unfortunately it bled. On the positive side, I do like the nail shape and color she recommended. The shoulder massage was a nice surprise. I just wish the experience had felt a little more focused. I will give it another fair shot.

I called 45min before and was able to get an appointment on Monday lunchtime. I got a cat eye gel mani by Wendy and regular pedi by Maria (reg gel mani $38 + $10 for cat eye and $28 for pedi. cheaper if u pay in cash) The prices are super reasonable and the service was impeccable. An hour after I got home, I got a scratch on the big toe and I called and asked if I could come in the following day to fix the scratch and they said I could as long as I come in before rush hour bc they get super busy around that time. It was free of charge. They have a variety of popular asian colors. Im not sure how good they are with design but for basic colors and styles like chrome and cat eye/ dip they're very reliable!

Received gel-x yesterday and not my favorite, my cuticles are currently so sore since 4 of them got cut up and bled -- which went unacknowledged. I have 2 fingers with bubbles between the extension & nail -- I requested nicely throughout my appointment to have them replaced as water can get trapped and get moldy, and she said no and "its ok" throughout my session(different nail salons replace them without me having to ask when they see a bubble..), the gel polish has been caked onto my nails so it is lumpy and looks like globs of thick paint stuck on the tip of my finger (not like a nail... :/ ) I asked to get the lumpy ones redone and she said "no its ok" and kept sighing made up excuses to explain why its so uneven and lumpy. Some of the nails were not attached with care so it looks like it's already grown out for 2 weeks when i got them yesterday. Nail technician must not have had a great day, she was not nice and not nice to people who called -- my nails were lazily done and it hurts and looks so strange. The reviews seemed great so i was excited but did not...
