I went with my mom a few weeks ago & the food was AMAZING! I can't wait to go back! The prices were okay, but for the amount food we got & the quality, it was definitely worth it. We never had Greek food before, but we wanted to try something different. The service was super friendly & nice, especially our waitress Christina. If it wasn't for her, I'd be lost on what to choose. She recommended us all her favorites & it did not disappoint! Appetizers: fried calamari & grilled octopus. I've never tried octopus before, but she insisted this place was the place to try it & wow, very different from anything I've tried before, but actually delicious. Then my mom got Lamb & Beef Gyro Pita, which was juicy & fresh, the white sauce made all the difference. It's not like the white sauce from the Halal trucks, idk how to describe it, it was refreshing. Then I got something called Pastitsio (Greek Lasagna) since Christina swore it was her absolute favorite thing on the menu... and all I have to say is the Italians got real competition lol. And for dessert we had Banoffee, I wasn't too sure about it since it said a biscuit with caramel & banna cream. I'm not a biscuit guy, but since our waitress was right about everything else, we went for it...and all the flavors just hit in the right way. Lastly I just ordered a regular snapple to drink, but Christina told me to go "full Greek" & try a Greek soda orange flavor, even that was really good too! So idk if all Greek food is like this or not, but if you're trying for the first time, definitely come here! Also, if you're lucky, ask for Christina to serve you. She was such a joy & treated my mom with such kindness. She even made us laugh & made the whole experience beyond pleasant. She was so passionate about the food & Greek culture. I learned a lot from her that day! Definitely, will be back soon! Compliments to...

I decided to give Vernon Grille a second chance after having an awful food experience my first time. Both times ordered takeout. This time I ordered the lamb-beef gyro platter which comes with Lamb-beef gyro, rice( or fries or potatoes), side salad, Pita and tzatziki sauce. The lamb-gyro was so dry and so salty that it was like eating a salty sponge. The only way to even eat the gyro was with the tzatziki sauce and once that was gone, I had to throw the rest of the meal away. (The portion was pretty big). And why was the pita so old? It was already stale and the ends were rock solid by the time the food was cold. How can they serve stale Pita? The rice was the only thing remotely edible. The salad was otherwise fresh but the olive oil used for the dressing tasted like it went rancid.

Read moreAbsolute terrible experience. I never leave bad reviews but this was just shocking. After an hour and a half of waiting I called to either cancel or find out where my order was. They previously told me it would be here any minute, then 30 min later I called asking about it. They lost my order clearly because they couldn't give me any info, refused to tell me the truth, kept me on hold multiple times for 5-10 min at a time, or would just hang up on me. They then refused to cancel my order after it was clear the order was either never sent or lost somewhere. They would just lie or act dumb about my order and pass me around to other phone people. I hope the owner/manager reads this and really takes a hard look at the young ladies he/she has working the phones who absolutely should be fired...
