Horrible experience. I went in to buy some chicken stock, and the cheapest option they had had a sticker that said "$3.99". I bring it up with some other groceries to the counter, the lady scans up my items, and I pay for them. I then notice on the receipt that the chicken stock comes out to $7.99, and in my confusion I bring it up with the employee. She rudely insists that the price on the receipt is the actual price, even though the sticker is clearly there labeling the item. We argue back and forth, and she finally gives in and tells me she can refund me and charge me again at the sticker price. She YANKS the chicken stock out of my hand, RIPS OFF the price sticker behind the counter, then she puts 3.99 on the register. I wish that was the end of it. I pay for the chicken stock once again, and as she hands me the new receipt, SHE FORCES THE OLD RECEIPT FROM MY HANDS, CRUMPLES IT, THEN THROWS IT AWAY AS IF TO DESTROY THE EVIDENCE. My boyfriend went through the lovely gesture to spend $30 on these roses for me. They looked fine in the package, but as soon as they were unwrapped, they fell and were clearly dead. This has happened before but we gave this spot another chance as its close to the train to come to me. We went back not even 24 hours to try to get a refund as they literally have to be thrown out. My boyfriend was very respectful and the owner stated he is “not sure how we handled them” on the 10 min walk to my apartment. He states there is no refunds and is okay with selling dead flowers to people and makes this policy to get away with it. I came in to buy a few things I needed. I paid and as I was leaving one of the customers asked the girl behind the register how was her Fourth of July she didn’t answer. Customer asked I’m sorry I didn’t mean to bother you. She says does it matter what my answer is. It escalated and the other girl says to him why don’t you go back to Puerto Rico. I was shocked. It doesn’t matter what paying customer goes through those doors you do not disrespect them. I felt bad for the guy and told him let’s just go it’s not worth it. Then they were trying to talk to me.
