Imagine yourself in the heart of the bustling city, just having feasted your eyes on the wonders of The City Reliquary. Your mind is buzzing with history and culture, and now, your stomach begins its own rumble of revolution, demanding sustenance. This is where Copper Mug Coffee enters the scene, like a culinary superhero ready to rescue the hungry and the adventurous.

As you step into this café, you're not just entering a dining space; you're embarking on a Mediterranean escapade. The menu is like a treasure map, leading you to hidden gems of flavor and spice. The avocado toast here is not just a meal; it's a masterpiece. It's like someone whispered a secret to the avocados, and their only response was to become inexplicably more delicious.

Then, there are the tuna sandwiches and pastrami. These aren't just sandwiches; they're edible symphonies with each ingredient playing its part in perfect harmony. The tuna sandwich is like a gentle wave of flavor, while the pastrami is a bold declaration of deliciousness.

And let's talk about the sweet treats - the ice cream, blueberry muffins, and biscuits. Each spoonful of ice cream is a ticket to a frosty paradise, the blueberry muffins are like little bundles of joy, and the biscuits? They're like a warm, buttery hug for your soul.

But wait, there's a plot twist - the bitter. This isn't just a beverage; it's an experience. It's the kind of drink that doesn't just quench your thirst but also tells a story of faraway lands and exotic adventures.

Now, for the caffeine aficionados, the iced latte, matcha, and cappuccino at Copper Mug Coffee aren't just drinks; they're liquid artworks. Each sip is a brushstroke of flavor painting a masterpiece on the canvas of your palate.

The staff? Oh, they're not mere mortals; they're wizards of hospitality, conjuring smiles and satisfaction with every interaction. They're not just serving you; they're enriching your day with their friendliness and expertise.

And the prices - they're not just fair; they're like finding a rare coin in your pocket. It's where value meets quality, and your wallet breathes a sigh of relief.

The atmosphere and decor? Imagine a space where elegance shakes hands with coziness, where every corner whispers a story of style and comfort. It's not just a café; it's a haven, a retreat, a little nook of the world where everything is just right.

In summary, Copper Mug Coffee is more than just a café near The City Reliquary. It's a culinary adventure, a feast for the senses, and a testament to the magic that happens when great food, great drinks, and great people come together. It's not just about satisfying hunger; it's about creating memories, one bite, one...

I took the L train from the 14th street stop under water to the uncharted territory of Brooklyn to meet a friend at Copper Mug and demolish my 4th cold brew of the day. I know, a lot to unpack there but yeah I'll admit 4 cold brews by 2:30pm is WAY too many. My anxiety was really not loving that ahahaha I was lowkey tweaking after. Also, the L train going literally under water trips me out every time like damn... Oh and don't you dare say "underwater," as the correct term is "under water." I typed "does the L train go underwater" into google just to double confirm because y'all love to chirp me if I'm wrong, and google passive aggressively informed me:

"No, it doesn't go underwater. It goes under water. The tunnels are built in the ground that is underneath the waterway that is traveled."

Anyways, I try not to think about it too much when I'm on the L as Murphy's Law is always looming.

I arrived at Copper Mug early, and it was pretty packed for a Wednesday at 2:15. People were locked in with over ear headphones on, plugging away at their laptops that are plugged in... You know someone is really posted up when the laptop is plugged in ahahaa.

I got my cold brew and ended up getting a seat at a small table. Nice little vibe in here, and also a great place to come sit and read a book. The thing about me is that I will always lurk on what books people are reading lol. I don't really know why, but I'm just genuinely curious what people choose to read. It's such an intentional form of consumption.

My friend arrived and we chopped it up about a new Blackseed Bagel video we are working on while keeping our voices low as it is a bit cozy in here.

This was easily my favorite cold brew of the 4 I had throughout the day. Thank you Copper Mug, for fueling my addiction. I need to get under water more, Brooklyn is tight.

I just want to preface this by saying that I have never wrote maybe one other bad review in my life. However, after the experience I had today, I feel for the owner’s and potential customers’ sake that I should share this. While it was as a relatively mild incident, it was a very unnecessary interaction that could have been avoided with decent customer service. Also as a disclaimer, I have been to copper mug in the past and this is the first time something like this has occurred. My friend and I came in this afternoon and I accidentally spilled a drink. Everyone around us noticed (a girl next to us gave us napkins, as it splashed on my items a bit), so it’s not far-fetched to assume the two employees saw what happened. They continued to do their work and I went up and asked for paper towels (I did not ask for help cleaning it, just for towels), explaining that I spilled a drink. The barista with short blonde hair was extremely snarky and sarcastic (to quote, she said “amazing, of course”), and neither employees offered to help. I didn’t ask for help, but as someone who has worked in service jobs for multiple years, they could have at least offered. They continued to watch us and do nothing as we cleaned up the drink and we ended up leaving because we felt so unwelcome. It would be one thing if they were busy, but there were no customers in line or drinks being made at the time, so I don’t really see an excuse or reason for this. I will not be returning to this location and urge the owner to be aware of their employees’ behavior. It’s...

I’m giving it a 3 star just because the service could be a lot better. It seems like this coffee shop is somewhat newer. We went on a Saturday noon time (11:30am ish) so the line got very busy very quickly. With that being said, perhaps there were some orders that were mixed up (and unfortunately, ours was in that mix). I think perhaps a better system (like writing customers name somewhere or giving everyone an order number would help so it erases any confusion) could improve the service, especially when it gets busy. The food and atmosphere were great though, but lost 2 stars overall due to the service. Everything here is pricier. If you’re here and don’t mind the price, I’d recommend the taro matcha latte with oat milk - I ended up paying $8.98 (medium size - usually I pay less for a large size specialty Matcha Latte in Manhattan) after tax but it tasted good. $9 for the drink is definitely on the pricier side though and I’m not sure if I would want to come back. I think the owner took my order. I’m pretty sure I was also billed incorrectly for a large even though I asked for a medium - the smallest size - but I only realized now. I was unable to get a good picture of my drink as my drink was already stirred to a purple/green color before I had received it (but my friend’s drink was not stirred - I asked about why it was mixed and was given a rude response). Staff were not friendly at all. One thing to note is that you do get a free small tart for showing the cashier you left a review on Google/Yelp.

This place has the ABSOLUTE best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had in my life. It’s been days and I’m still thinking about it. I must admit, at $15, I was skeptical, but it’s Williamsburg and everything is overpriced… I even underestimated it when it was brought to me as it doesn’t look much like a burrito and is smaller than expected for, again, $15 (plus $3 tip, etc etc, you know the drill, very expensive!!) It’s not really a burrito as much as it is a wrap, more like a middle eastern shawarma with some South American ingredients. Chipotle mayo, onion-y guacamole relish, turkey, scrambled egg, and the most amazing and generously portioned, melty, tangy (I want to say cheddar?) cheese. And the tortilla. It was nothing short of incredible. Soft, chewy, spongy, it is seriously everything you would ever want in a tortilla wrap. It requires a review of its own. Seriously, try the breakfast burrito if you can. You won’t regret it. Can’t not mention the most pleasant and personable staff behind the counter, who I had a nice conversation with and who found out the specific bakery they source the tortilla from when I asked. Thank you! Lower the prices please so I can come here more often 🙏
