Came here for a friend's birthday. The place is loud but the music can be fun (depending on your luck/your taste). There's a generally good vibe with lots of large tables and people dancing (sometimes on top of those tables). The place is hot as hell in the summer though with little to no air flow and they close the patio area really early. The drink selection is alright but I love that they offer large options. Food options are decent as well. Biggest downside is the service. I get that bars can be busy and I'm more than willing to be patient but it was far from a crazy night when I went. Once I got to the bar and ordered/received my drink, I got my receipt back pretty quickly. My card wasn't with it though. It's a decently heavy card and considering the receipt was 2-3 sheets of paper it was clearly not in there. Without moving from the spot I tried flagging down the bartender again who just ignored me. I finally flagged down another employee who told me it's not his problem and to talk to the bartender I spoke to. I finally went to the back side of the bar near the register and the same employee told me to not stand there even though I wasn't in anyone's way and I explained to him again I was just trying to find my credit card and he grunted and walked away. I finally got the bartender's attention when she walked to the register. Turns out she dropped my card. No big deal, I get it. It happens. But a simple sorry would have been nice. Instead she hands it to me without saying a word and walks away.
On top of all that my $18 drink was charged as $24 which definitely includes a heftier tip than I had given (still tipped but my boyfriend placed more tip on his card so mine was less).
All in all, I don't exactly love this spot. With the exception of the spaciousness, there's not much...
Read moreWe booked Radegast to host our wedding reception because of its reasonable price point and beautiful bar and garden rooms. As residents of Brooklyn for over a decade we thought we knew what Radegast was about: big party atmosphere with excellent drinks. What we came to find out was that it was so much more.
Weâll start with Sean, Radegastâs manager and possibly one of the nicest, most down-to-earth persons we could have hoped to work with; any request we had he was able to accommodate, no stress. It was made apparent to us very early that it would be so simple working with Sean and his team, it really helped alleviate the stress of the preparation period.
The menu planning was easy, most of the appetizers were canât miss and the main dinner options put a really fun spin on traditional wedding dishes. Everything we landed on was delicious and well received by our guests. The other big consideration was working with a bar and staff the caliber of Radegast - they arenât limited to certain mixed drinks or a pre-set list of beer because being a top-class bar handling a large crowd is what they do every night.
The night of, all anyone could talk about was the service and the space. All the staff were brilliant: friendly and accommodating keeping our guest well fed and looked after, making everyone feel like regulars that they had known for years. Sean took us under his personal watch and was never far when we needed anything or to even offer a bit of touchup on a suit. A true partner. The space was beautiful, we got lucky enough with the weather to open the gardenâs ceiling windows and it just created the most perfect setting to celebrate with everyone we loved.
It was truly a night to remember, one that wouldnât have been nearly as special without Radegast and their very...

If you're ever wandering through Williamsburg and craving great beer, hearty food, and good vibes, do yourself a favor and stop by Radegast Hall & Biergarten. Iâve been coming here for years, and no matter how many spots open up in the area, Radegast always feels like home.
The first thing that hits you is the atmosphereâwarm, buzzing, and alive. Long wooden tables stretch across the hall, and whether you show up with a group or solo, youâll feel like part of a community. Thereâs live music on many nights (and even a piano tucked in the corner), and in the summer, the roof opens up so the place transforms into a sun-drenched biergarten that makes you forget you're in the middle of Brooklyn.
Now, letâs talk about Lenin, the managerâbecause honestly, heâs one of the main reasons this place runs like the gem it is. Heâs not just managing behind the scenes; heâs present, personable, and truly cares about the guest experience. Iâve seen him personally check on tables, help his staff during busy rushes, and still take time to share a quick laugh with regulars. That kind of leadership sets the tone for the whole team. You can feel the difference.
As for the foodâitâs comforting and delicious. Their bratwurst and kielbasa from the grill are always on point, and Iâm a sucker for their schnitzel and sauerkraut. And donât get me started on the beer list. Whether youâre a pilsner purist or feeling adventurous with something darker and malty, theyâve got it covered.
Itâs the kind of place where you can spend hours catching up with friends, or make new ones at the communal tables. And every time I leave, I already know Iâll be back soon.
Huge shoutout to Lenin and the entire Radegast teamâyou make this...
