I came in to replace my broken phone and was rudely shuffled out of the store by the clerk who refused to help me, and told me everything can be done online. There was only one other customer, whom they were not helping. He also called me some very vile things in french under his breath, thinking I did not speak the language when I studied it for four years at college. When I did fill out the online form, it asked me to verify my identity using my fathers email address for some reason. One problem, my father has been dead for over six year (thanks for the memories AT&T!). I then waited all night for the replacement which was originally scheduled for 7pm. At 10pm (after staying up all night) I got a notification on my laptop that the appointment was cancled. I was told to use my phone to verify the new appointment time... BUT I DO NOT HAVE A PHONE THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIX!!! So here I sit, reminded of the fact my father is dead, I speak rudimentary french, and I apparently must have a phone to have the...

First of all , I would like to thank the very attentive lady "Alina R. ", for helping me out and being very informative about the AT & T products. She was very focussed and honest, which triggers me to write this review.
I bought an AT&T GoPhone sim-card., for only one month, without the possibility of recurring monthly payment, just strictly for one month.
I would like to recommend this card for overseas or European travellers to the United States.
The 3 gigabyte plan costs me 48.99 dollar ($ 45 + $ 3.99 tax), which allows me to use internet data and also to call within the States.
I would recommend possible customers to buy the sim-card at the main stores of AT & T , like this one at 250 57th Street, near Columbus Circle.
Don't go to the "authorized dealers", as they will/ can fee you extra for activating the sim-card, for this they don't do at the "main At & T stores".
Keep up the good work, Cheers...
Read moretl;dr Just ask for Sharon when you enter this store to get everything taken care of for you quickly.
My biggest mistake was to try to transfer our phone numbers from Verizon on AT&T’s website. Even though they got the numbers from Verizon successfully, phone activation simply didn’t work and the account ended up in a pending state. Staying on the phone with AT&T support for 3 hours didn’t solve anything either. After several reps transferring me to different people one after another, somebody eventually told me to stop by a store to reset my passcode and call again.
I’m so glad I chose this store. Sharon said not to worry and that she can take care of the entire transfer, not just the passcode reset. She had to deal with the messed up transfer and tried everything to get it working again. In about an hour or so, I left the store with both numbers transferred and both phones activated...
