Disappointed with Balenciaga Sneakers Quality and Service!
I am extremely disappointed with the quality of Balenciaga sneakers and the service provided. For the premium price of these products, I expected much higher standards in both craftsmanship and customer care. The first pair, which I purchased approximately one in a half year ago for around $1,200 became damaged despite only occasional use. One sneaker is completely broken, I shared with the store. For a product in this price range, such poor durability is unacceptable. The second pair, purchased online by my husband a few months ago as a gift, makes a loud, disruptive noise when I walk. The noise is so bad that I cannot use the sneakers comfortably.
According to Balenciaga’s terms and conditions, they offer a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects, allowing for repair or replacement. When I took my sneakers to the store, the staff claimed that the first pair showed signs of wear and tear, but said they would send it to a technician for inspection and it takes several weeks. Regarding the noisy sneakers, they offered to attempt a repair, but this process would take several weeks as well.
To add to the frustration, the store did not provide any receipt or documentation of the repair request. The salesperson only gave me his name and phone number, which is hardly reassuring for a brand of this stature.
Overall, my experience with Balenciaga’s product quality and customer service has been far below expectations. For the price point and reputation of this brand, I anticipated products that would last longer and a more professional customer care experience. Read moreplaced a order 2304Z210120385 with this company on 4/23. In May I reached out and was told there warehouse was closed due to covid and once opened orders will ship as they were received. I initially want the order for my birthday however there was no chance I’d get them but I still liked them so I left the order. On June 5th I reached a return form from Balenciaga and I called to find out why because I never requested return nor received the item. I searched for emails from Balenciaga and saw there was an email in spam dated June 2 from a rep of their company named olivia that stated my order was delivered to the incorrect address and she was trying to get it to me. The rep that I currently had on the line had no knowledge of the situation and advised I would have to try back when Olivia was there. Which I did and also sent 3 emails before calling again to be told that she had spoken to her supervisor and that since it was after hours she called him at home and I was told he would be in the next day to issue a refund because they had no way to send a replacement and I would then have to place the order again. So today that’s what I was expecting to take place this morning. Now this evening I get an email that says it was delivered and they couldn’t help me. Never mind the fact they emailed me my order was some where else. If nothing else they could have provided the persons info so I can get my order myself since they can’t seem to. Read moreI have been shopping with Balenciaga now since 2021 and the Madison Avenue store is my go to. I'm a huge fan of the brand and Demna's work. Every time I come to this store its like being welcomed by family or friends. Truly the most exceptional shopping experience you can get in New York. You feel welcome and comfortable here, no one has ever been pushy or overbearing. I feel as if I'm able to brows at my leisure and take my time. Staff are extremally helpful with questions asked and product knowledge, and they always have the newest and latest products!! I have been here many times with numerous friends ( some who know nothing of the brand etc ) yet everyone has always been very kind, warm and genuine. They treat people with much respect, there is no air of pretentiousness like you'd get from many other brands of this status. Balenciaga and Kering should be very proud of this store and its employees, Especially Dezung who has gone more than above and beyond for me as a client to the point I truly consider him a friend!!
