How to get to this store: Find Daiso on second floor, go inside the Daiso and keep walking straight until you see the store. Updated: March 18 - It’s so dead empty with few people coming in the afternoon as soon as Japan Village open during weekdays. Almost half of the gashapon machines are out of stock which I found it hilarious. Might as well reuse the tokens for other gachapons in Edgewater or American Dream. 2nd day after opening: This store is not bad! We did find gundam early release model kits which is cool! Some One Piece cards, figures (more on pricy range $30+), tamagotchi ($25 for functional ones), various of English titles and few Japanese Gachapons, and small area for gaming center. Gashapons and gaming area require coins which you can purchase at the machines. $20 for 10 tokens is eh. The staff is there to help so please ask them! This place could be better if they have libre knight kits in stock but they only have the accessory for holy knight which is… dumb. It was at 11am and well, that’s just how it is. If you’re the gachapon kind of person, American Dream is probably your best bet if you want to see more of Japan capsule toys that you don’t often see.

Bandai Namco Cross Store Brooklyn is one of the few official Bandai Namco stores in the Northeast region of the United States. For those that do not know, Bandai Namco is a famous leading innovator in toys and collectibles. They are known for iconic brands such as Gundam, Tamagotchi, and Tamashii Nation; offering unique toys, model kits, and premium collectibles for all collectors and buyers! Just past the Daiso store on the 2nd floor in Japan Village, you'll find this Bandai Namco store. Inside, you'll find nearly a hundred of Gashapon or capsule toys. There are various categories such as cute animals, cartoon characters, and most notably, anime characters! Feel free to buy some TCG cards from various anime or any of their figurines/acrylic stands. I was unable to get the Digimon keychain that I wanted from the Gashapon, but I am satisfied with the one I got! Hopefully, I will get it when I come back again!

Echoing some of the other reviews, one of the worst launches/openings, if not THE worst - for anyone who has been to popular amusement parks, even Disney World rides are shorter than this atrocious wait that we all endured.

I got here at about 11am when they were set to open, and there was already a long line to the corner of the block. I expected a long wait, but nothing prepared me for a full day wait.

There was definitely a gross mismanagement of resources, AND the employees were allowing line cutting (probably by accident or to avoid any conflict), as they were flexible to allow those NOT purchasing one piece TCG to go “check out” the store - I don’t believe for a second that not one single person didn’t maybe slip through in all the chaos, which likely caused the extremely lengthy wait time.

There needed to be more POS systems, or someone to facilitate the order/line from the get go instead of like they finally did at the end.

Sure I could have left at any point but I was TOO INVESTED AT THAT POINT - we basically got baited 4-5 times throughout the entire line. It was a line outside, to a line inside by LiLac, to a line up the stairs right outside the entrance of Bandai, to another line inside the space, of which was “snaked” like 7 times, no exaggeration.

Employees got paid for their hours there, but we waited 9-10 hours to SPEND money lol, with nothing but a “thanks for your patience.” At the very least, they could’ve been flexible with the buy limit, and they weren’t.

Like let’s be real, it’s not normal to have the SAME customers stand in line for 9-11 hours (from before opening to after closing), even if it is opening day - it isn’t even for a new release?! So for the people who are defending this experience in these reviews, that’s your right, and maybe it’s how you want to justify wasting your entire day, don’t chalk it up to people being impatient. Have the day you deserve!

And seriously - for them to announce they’re doing a ticketing system for tomorrow is sickening. Why didn’t they do that to begin with? For such a big name, they acted like this was their...

As much as I want to say nice things, this was probably a very unorganized grand opening for the cross store, I do hope tomorrow this doesn't happen again and their more organized this time. I wish they were more aware of the people who want to browse the shop instead of being on a very long line for one piece which few are not there for, like me. I am infact very glad that Bandai Namco Amusement decided to put Over Boost at the shop since it's a Japan exclusive game, but it just really upsets me that the token price is a problem, especially for a 2v2 game. 2 bucks for just one game is just a scam in my opinion even for something like Over Boost, and doing a conversion rate between U.S dollars and Yen, 2 dollars is the equivalent of 300 Yen which is supposed to give you 3 games at most. But this, this is just putting more money into the machine than ever for a fighting game that just got done with an official tournament 3 weeks ago. And on top of that they're not even using the latest Patch Note which includes two new suits, Infinite Justice Type II and Todesritter, along with new suit buffs and nerfs. All I can say is I hope they can improve the token prices and maybe advertise it a little more to get more peoples attention to play the game and I would love for this place to be my new source of Gundam Extreme VS., but if it means spending that much in a shop that needs to be more effiecient and well organized, then I would rather go somewhere else to play my games and buy my gunpla.

Edit: I'm not trying to be negative and say this store is bad. I am very happy that an offical U.S Bandai Namco store has Overboost and I hope it stays that way, I'll still go there just again, the token prices make no sense and I hope eventually they'll maybe...

This opening was extremely disappointing, it was all unorganized. I got there at 11:30am ended up leaving at 8:50pm. Yes there were a lot of people for one piece but there was no reason for the wait time to be 10 hours. It was extremely irritating that the one piece people were in line for so long while others weren’t. People were allowed to go in and out without waiting, which added to the problem because there weren’t that many registers to check people out. Also after waiting for a couple hours outside we finally got to the door just for the workers and security to make the line move all the way back because they messed up inside, we ended up all the way back where we started. It just felt like they were completely unprepared for this opening. Hopefully it gets better but I don’t think I will ever come back.

Another note I know we were the ones that chose to wait but it was only because we all felt like we were in to deep to leave. We waited on 4 different lines. When we got to the front of the actual store we felt relived. That soon passed because we were in front of the actual store for like 2 hours waiting to go in while others were walking in and out having a good time while we were all in pain physically and mentally. AND THEN when we actually got in the store we were met with another line that seemed never ending. There was no communication from the workers that once in the store there was a huge line inside. If we were informed that we actually weren’t next in line we wouldn’t have waited so long. It was all just...
