I was a trauma patient who was taken to this hospital via ambulance. As one would expect it was a terrifying experience. I was brought to the ED which one would think is not going to be a pleasant experience. However, let me tell you the staff took such good care of me that I was shocked, even mind blown by the care and the personal touch by all the hospital employees. Dr. R Hoffman, ED clinician, went above and beyond in taking care of me. He expedited my care and made sure to check on me every few minutes. He kept me updated on my treatment plan and something he said really touched me, he said that I treat patients if I would treat my family members. I am pleasantly amazed that in 2024 we still have clinicians that care to such a deeper level. During my discharge, the clinician even went and found a T-shirt for me to wear so I can leave the hospital. Iâm just so shocked that a clinician would go so above and beyond in taking care of me. While I do not know Dr. Hoffmanâs title, he should be promoted to the chair of the department and teach clinicians on how to provide exceptional care to patients.
Another employee Patience M. went above and beyond in expediting my care. I recall waiting outside the room for an x-ray and Patience saw me and immediately called someone to perform my x-ray expeditiously. I cannot thank Patience enough.
It is employees like Dr. Hoffman and Patience that make Bellevue an exceptional place for care of patients in need. Thank you, Bellevue for taking such good care of me during my time of...
Read moreDr. Amy Tan and Dylan took care of us the entire 11 hours we were at the ER. Dr. Tan was patient, thorough, empathic and kind in her approach, offering us validation and reassurance during moments when we needed it most. The ER is always chaotic, with so much unknown and surprises popping up left and right. We were lucky enough to land a MRI 3 hours into our visit, but the CT scan took an additional 5 hours due to all the emergencies occurring throughout the night. Richard, Mika, Dr. Gaulty, and another supervising doctor were also kind and friendly. Although the visit were longer than we would like, which unfortunately is the norm of how the ER operates due to its innate chaotic nature, we nonetheless had a pleasant experience with no conflict. I've been to a few different hospital ERs before, and I have to say the one at Bellevue was the most thorough, friendly, and comfortable experience. Thank you everyone, especially Dr. Amy Tan and Dylan, for taking such good care of my mom and making sure she's okay. And Dylan, I witnessed you get disparage by a foul mouthed patient, and I can't help but feel aspired by how composed, professional, kind, and patient you were in response to how nasty he was towards you. To the both of you, thank you for caring for your patients as warmly and genuinely as you had; thank you for helping us improve our quality of life simply by being passionate,...
