I was in the market for an upgrade on my last scooter (Speedway Leger Pro) and had my eye on the Dualtron Victor. I called Don at NYC PEV and he said they were on back-order but he just recieved 3 Bluetran Lightning scooter and they had comparable specs and price to the Victor. I had never heard of this brand so I looked them up and it looked good on paper. I placed a deposit and held one of them for pick-up in a few days.

Fast forward 2 months and I'm liking the Bluetran but then unexpectedly the rear suspension broke while riding. Mind you I don't ride much - 2 months in I put ~350 miles on the scooter (around 6 miles/day) so I was shocked and upset that this would happen. I took it in and Don and the guys said they would fix it free of charge which is a big plus! Negative is that it took a month for them to fix it but it got fixed.

I've had the scooter back a few days and didn't ride it much before going away on vacation for 8 days. First day back I go for a ride and make it one block before the front suspension brakes and I go flying over the handlebars. I was going 5 mph and didn't hit any potholes. This ride I had my GoPro on and it captured the wreck. Needless to say I was very upset!

I called Don and he apologized and offered to fix it again free of charge. However, 2 crashes from broken parts from faulty manufacturing I said no way I was keeping this scooter. After some discussion with Don and Ivan we worked out a full swap for the Dualtron Victor they had on the showroom floor. The Dualtron Victor that I had wanted in the first place.

There were some bumps (and bruises) along the way but it was handled professionally by Don and the guys at NYC PEV. I'm very happy with the Dualtron Victor and am confident nothing like this will happen with this scooter like the Bluetran Lightning.

These guys never disappoint . It’s always in and out I love sundays with Ralph he is an absolute beast . Very knowledgeable and very hospitable , very friendly and great to speak to , great multitasker who can have a full on convo while he’s getting your scooter back on the road . These guys will never hustle u and try to get you to get more than you need especially when they have an idea of what your budget is looking like . Never had any discrepancies with them and usually always very quick even if there’s a scooter or 2 ahead of you . They got more than one guy there ready to handle business . They are the only scooter shop I go to and they have a solution to every problem the scooter can have . I own a varla eagle one v2 and they’ve always taken care of me but mostly it’s brake issues tire issues , rotor issues, etc . These guys will take care of you , there are no bad mechanics here . All are great even Don the owner will get his hands dirty quite often . He’s a beast too. This is where u come and get what u pay for .
