Cafe Deli-Cious — Restaurant in New York

Normally I would not post this but today is a different day. I go here every day despite how expensive it is I have been going here for five years because when you are hungry and have nowhere else to go you would think this place is a God send? WRONG!! Besides this place being overpriced, I get it; the rents are high so are the prices you pay but at least give me some good service; but nope. after working 15 hours, you wait for the guy to make you a veggie omelet with red onions, jalapeño, no cheese and you think you are finally going to get the meal you need with some good service especially when you are paying premium prices. I give my order and I am being told there are no red onions, meanwhile I am looking at the red onions they have cut up in the Deli section not to mention, it was no issue when they made me the same omelet a couple of days ago!!!! I tell the man I see the red onions right there and you are telling me you do not have red onions; he pauses and tells me they are for the salad only, but then I tell him, I got the same omelet just the other day without any issues!!!! I mean what gives!? I want to say he is being racist? I mean what is it? I am starving, I have not eaten and no the only thing I am being served is not breakfast but terrible, bad service and its honestly quite shameful...

So I began working across the street march of this year. I can honestly say that I’ve witnessed the Spanish guys behind the counter give preference to Spanish speaking customers over the last 7 months of coming here. I walked in this morning,the cook looks at me,tell his friend to take my order. He doesn’t bother to do so. Then the cook comes back to take my order. I’m literally looking at them baffled as to what exactly is the purpose of this. I’ve made a simple order of an egg and cheese on a roll that took nearly 20 mins. I waited while watching other customers come up,order after me and get their food before me. At this point I’m fed up with this place and will be taking my service elsewhere. They can keep their overpriced food and horrible service. Btw,when people order sandwiches without meat but still get a chunk in their food, it’s disgusting. I work at the hospital for 35 years and have gone to this deli many times. I would always call in my order with Julie. I ordered a cinnamon bagel with butter, egg white and turkey bacon and when I got to my office the sandwich also had Jelly on it. I immediately call the store and ordered a different sandwich. When I arrived at the store, I did not have my wallet because I ran from my office and was told by a young staff member that I could not have the wrap because there was a $4 difference and I needed to order the same sandwich and he said he would have the wrap and the sandwich with Jelly for breakfast. I then spoke to the manager and he again said $4 was a big difference and he could not give me the sandwich for that amount but I could have come back with the money. Where is the courtesy of the time I spent leaving my office and returning to the store because of an error of the person taking the food order. I can't image how much money I have spent in this store over the years. I remember when it was a diner before...
