James is hands down the best barber I've ever been to. I've been going to him for at least 4 years now and hopefully many more years to come. If I think about what matters in a barber, the key points that come to mind are (1) quality of cut, (2) consistency of cut across visits, (3) personality/banter during cut, (4) cleanliness/professionalism, and (5) value. James knocks it out of the park on each of these factors.

In terms of the cut, I went to 4 different barbers before meeting James. His skills are amazing and he was the only person who really was able to translate my general description of what I wanted into the right cut.

In terms of consistency, this is why I keep coming back. James always keeps the cut the way I want it, even remembering small changes we've made from month-to-month.

Personality/banter - Love shootin' the "stuff" (can you curse in a revew?) with James during my visits. Let's face it, pre-COVID, we probably saw our barbers more than some of our close friends - it's hard not to get into great conversation when a good person is cutting your hair.

Cleanliness/professionalism - I've been with James through multiple locations and he's always kept his place perfectly clean. James is always on time, even when others are late. He's pretty strict (in a good way) about not taking someone who is late if he doesn't think he can be timely in finishing their haircut if the next appointment needs the full time.

Value - Honestly everyone has their own definition of this but, in my opinion, I don't think it's easy to find this level of quality in a haircut period, let alone at this price point.

Highly recommend James to anyone!...just don't take my preferred...
