Came here after a flight for a quick first meal in NYC, and wow, the French Onion Soup was so good. Of course, everyone has a personal taste but my wife agreed it was amazing and got one for herself. On our last day in NYC, we stopped in again for a couple of bowls before heading to the airport. My 5 year old daughter almost finished an entire bowl on her own! If you are a French onion soup fan, make sure to try it here.

Pretty decent pub food, if you are curious in sampling an English version of Chicken Curry without traveling over the pond to London, this place is it. Just wish they could have had a hard shell fish and chip instead of the beer batter, but it still tasty as well. Cozy seating, acoustics carry thought out the pub, friendly and attentive service.

Love this pub. Honestly in my humble opinion probably the best pub in NY. Friendly Irish bar tenders (cliche), fantastic food (better then the other bars I've eaten at in NY) and large selection of beers, wine and spirits. Great prices as well. If you're a salad person, try the steak salad. The steak alone is worth it!

The menu and daily specials have kept me coming back two weeks in a row. Great lunch spot for the folks that work nearby. It also works great as the local happy hour drinks hot spot. The menu is surprisingly not just your typical bar/pub food. They have a unique menu ranging from Quinoa to Cheesesteaks. Even the French onion soup is pretty good.

We started with the Burrata and Fried Eggplant. Topped with parmesan reggiano cheese and tomato, as well as some arugula on the side. Very good. The eggplant was thinly breaded but crispy and complimented the tomato with burrata combination.

The signature named Blackwell burger with bacon was a hit with my lunch buddy, served on a brioche bun. Per my foodie buddy, the fish and chips were great. It's fried cod fish served with malt vinegar on the side and Cole slaw. Generous portions and fries too. I had the tuna melt with fries and it was only ok, probably just need to change the cheese type it came with (it was provolone I think, cheddar would've been better).

The chicken and shrimp entree with a butter tequila sauce is a hit. The shrimps have the tail on so FYI, you will have to pull it off when you eat it. Great presentation.

I've also tried the beef chopped steak topped with a mushroom marsala sauce. It was juicy and medium rare as requested. Very good. Both entrees came with steamed vegetables and our choice of potato. We opted for the mashed -...

THIS PLACE!!! My friends and I decided to stop in for lunch on a whim. The staff was super friendly. Very empty (corporate area on a sunday afternoon). We were seated immediately and had the entire reasturant to ourselves (except for a guy at the bar). Our waitress (michelle) was prompt, friendly and very helpful. We all decided to start with an appetizer. We got the mac n cheese, fried calamari and pita bread with hummus. I literally can't stop thinking about the mac n cheese . Literally. Cant. It was AMAZING. Gruyere and chedder jack, perfect. The calamari was light, fresh and crispy. The pita bread was delicious and the hummus was great. The portion sizes were AMAZING for appetizers. We endes up not purchasing an entree! We did however also purchase thw French toast brioche. The toast was light, flavorful and beautifully paired with strawberries ( the menu says apples, but we asked for strawberries!). The syrup was great, everything was great. Amazing portion size (not too big) and everything came out the kitchen quick. One of us had a drink and the bartender put the perfect anount of alcohol, not light nor heavy handed. Exceptional experience, we will absolutely...

I came here as a party of two for after work dinner.

Environment: Solid ambiance. Lighting was dark, but not too dark to not be able to see the other party. It wasn't too loud, and we could hear each other without yelling too much.

Service: Waitress was nice, and was very prompt in the uptake. Food also came surprisingly fast.

Food: I ordered the fish and chips and some Guinness. The fries were disappointing as they were really soft, and felt stale. The fish was decent, good crunch, but small. Nothing really to write home about.

Price: This was my biggest gripe with this restaurant. I paid $8 for a 3/4 pint. This was way too expensive for the beer. Fish and chips was also on the high end at $19. This is what takes the restaurant down from a 3 star to a 2 star.

Overall, it's a decent restaurant; nothing really to separate it from the other pubs in the area. However, the price for beer makes this not a...
