Incident took place around 9:05- 9:10 on October 12, 2025 Pouring rain I backed up my car to fire lane area off to the side of the door not blocking anything. A minute before that a car had done the same thing. A power hungry cop comes over (walking past the other vehicle) and says we can’t park here to my visibly pregnant wife and myself. Not allowing us to pack anything else further and verbally berating us for doing so in the first place. Off to the side less then 10 feet away was another car that was doing the same and this car was partially blocking the entrance. The officer pretends like they don’t exist. He doesn’t say anything to them after telling me to close my trunk and all my doors in an unnecessary rude tone and not letting me put my remaining 4-5 items in the car. Store is closed, there is no one else in the parking lot except the car next to mine. Then some manager looking person comes out and actually helps the other 2 people finish packing up all while we cannot continue packing the trunk. He did not come over to defend us in anyway. We had to continue in the pouring rain while the manager looking guy helped the 2 young ladies finish packing in the dry spot. Blatant discrimination on the officer and who ever this manager person was because we don’t look like them or talk like them. It’s a shame we should be treated any different. This is the last straw with this location and possibly BJs in general. When the store opened I gave it 5 stars, since then it’s been down hill with constant harassment from 3rd party vendors who can’t take no for an answer. Constant problems when checking out and now this. Few minutes later after packing up in the rain we pulled out and the other car was still being tended to and the officer was nowhere to be seen asking the car to be moved like he did to mine. Again the police officer walked right past the other car and didn’t say a word to them. The officer from inside the store walked past the car they was partially blocking doorway and came to harass the car that wasn’t blocking anything. What a disgusting experience.

I'm extremely disappointed with BJ's Wholesale Club on Staten Island. Despite their impressive advertising campaigns, which effectively drew me in and led me to become a member, the actual experience has fallen short. As a member of the past two months, I've been unable to utilize the benefits of my membership on the island. The lack of a functional location, despite promises of an imminent opening, has been misleading and frustrating. Repeated assurances of a "soon-to-open" location have not materialized, leaving me feeling misled. I'm now questioning the value of my membership and wondering if I'll receive a discount on my renewal, considering the unfulfilled promises. The discrepancy between BJ's advertising and the actual experience is concerning and borders on false advertising. I hope you'll take my feedback seriously and address these issues promptly. Update: As of April 15th, 2025, BJ has finally opened for business. I will write another review, as I am finally about to check whats inside and all the products they have to offer. Time will tell if they will get their 5 star review from me.

I became a member on 5/3/25, and unfortunately, my experience so far has been extremely disappointing. The primary reason I joined was to purchase a TV with the advertised benefits of same-day delivery and credit card rewards. I applied for the store credit card to take advantage of those benefits, but there was an issue requiring additional information, which delayed the process.

I was advised to place the order online instead, only to find that same-day delivery was NOT available — despite it being a key part of the promotion. To make matters worse, I later learned that deliveries are fulfilled by DoorDash, which was not made clear upfront. If I knew I wouldn’t have paid for delivery TIP!!! Be aware of the TIP!

At this point, I have neither the credit card benefits nor the same-day delivery that were advertised. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and will be seeking a refund on my membership. I’ve already advised my family not to join, and I will continue shopping at COSTCO, where my expectations have...
