Bluemercury — Local services in New York

I went into the store quickly looking to replenish some products I use every day. I went in a hurry and I also asked if someone could assist me with some eyeshadow application (I was going to obviously buy the shadow). They quickly suggested that they could do my makeup in less than 10 minutes (fabulous).

I purchased in total 4 items for $300.

I went back a day later to return one in favor of other items.

The manager was VERY rude. She said we waived your makeup application because of the 3 product minimum. Well I had no idea I needed to buy 3 Trish Mcevoy because this artist works for Trish. How could I know? Again I remind you it was a 9 minute makeup application and the guy did a great job.

I just don’t like being treated like I am cheating the store when even with my exchange I am over $250 in products.

I walked in with my friend and Elvis M was very nice and helped me with my order. Later on a lady named Virgina asked what was going on as if my friend and I were doing something sketchy and told us to move closer to the cashier. No one really wanted to attend us and they were all very disorganized and RUDE. Not sure if it was because we we’re both Hispanic because there was another white lady and a sales person went up to her to see if she was already taken care of us and later looked at me and friend and walked away. I went in to look at a certain line of cosmetics that are hardly sold anywhere and was delighted to see them sold here. A very nice employee came up to me and as soon as they saw me looking at these products, told me there were much better products in the store. When I replied I was specifically interested in this line of cosmetics, they walked away and continued talking to the other employees about sales without asking me if I wanted help.
