So so so completely disappointed. We have collected 20 or so Bond No 9 fragrances over the years and love them. During the pandemic, we received many notifications (mailers, social media ads, etc.) of new additions to the Bond No 9 line up. Due to safety precautions during the pandemic, there wasn’t much opportunity to go to the stores to smell any of them. Now that restrictions are relaxing, and we happened to be in NYC for the weekend, we decided to stop by the Bond No 9 store to catch up on our fragrances and experience these new scents. Sales associate Ben helped us smell them all and was so helpful, in the beginning! We had so many different scents on us but narrowed it down to a few we wanted to buy! Success! But given we were smelling multiple fragrances on our skin, we asked for samples of the two we loved. Ben obliged and provided the samples so we could try them fresh on our skin the next day and likely come back to purchase the winners. We asked for a third sample of a runner up and at this point, when Ben realized he wasn’t making a sale that moment, he rolled his eyes and abruptly handed us the third sample. We said we would be back and he rolled his eyes yet again and said nothing. No “thanks for coming in… we hope to see you tomorrow” or any words at all. His entire attitude changed and was all of the sudden so completely cold uninterested in us. Isn’t the point of giving out a sample (and mind you… we didn’t ask for handfuls… we asked for three of the ones we were considering to buy) to allow you to go and smell it in your own environment on your own time to see if you love the scent? I’ve never left a Bond No 9 experience feeling this way and maybe it hurts a little more because we have spent thousands of dollars on this brand.
Update: would lessen it to zero stars if I could based on the response I received (below). You did me a favor by giving me an extra sample?!?! I just counted the bottles of Bond that I have. 23. There will not be a single more added to the collection. This is not the brand it once was and certainly not one to waste...

Ben L. (and Madison C.) went ABOVE and beyond for me. I ordered this OVER THE PHONE and had to forgo my Plat Amex 5% rebate,Laurice's signature on this bottle, 3 free pocket sprays and free shipping.
It began innocently enough when I wanted a 50 ml bottle whilst waiting for Saks to restock, but Ben advised that it could possibly be awhile- my Saks in Indy told me that Laurice was going to hold The Scent of Peace at her boutiques until sourcing issues could be resolved. I called to confirm and was so impressed with his honesty, I bought a 100 ml- less all the discounts. What I didn't get in pocket sprays, I got in samples- so I'm happy either way. He answered ALL my questions without losing his kind demeanor.
I called to see if the aforesaid goodies were solely online and had a less pleasant encounter. I unfortunately I let anger get me out of character and I made a snazzy remark on social media. I had to give them grace- we all have bad days!
When Ben returned my call as soon as he came in- he was less than thrilled. He basically felt I was being ungrateful and felt I'D INSULTED his sales rep-didn't mind that it was the opposite situation. I felt giving him access to my card OVER THE PHONE and my demeanor shows that I LOVE THIS BRAND THAT MUCH. He apologized, but I definitely get why he felt the way he did- I wish all managers backed their reps this way, ok?
I can't speak to the other negative reviews, but as I refill my 2rd pocket spray (I gave one to a patient that commented that they loved it), I look forward to shopping here in the future. Read moreOnly reason for the two stars is the amazing scents they have. Otherwise this is a disgrace of a business. Their customer service is worse than the ones you get from city hall. Unresponsive, careless, horrible communication and zero sense of urgency. I ordered somethings for a birthday. 1st they cancel the order because I used my work place as a location. 2nd they had run out of something and didn't care to let me know in time. 3rd when I tried contacting them via email no answer, via live chat is a joke and no one answered for over an hour, via phone and of course no answer and via text also no answer. When I did get a hold of someone they didn't even give the curtsey of upgrading the shipping. Their colognes and perfumes are amazing. But go to Saks if you want them. DO NOT EVER ORDER ONLINE. Its a shame you tarnish your name because you put careless and useless people in your customer service department.
Update : I initially had this at two stars. But changed it due a gentleman that called and went over everything that happened. He offered overnight shipping if I wanted to place my order again.
