This is something I rarely do and hate doing so. I was not planing on doing a review but on second thought I’ll take the barbers (Tommaso Antico) advice and leave a bad review. I schedule an appointment for 7:30 PM, showed up on time and waited an additional 20 minutes. Didn’t complain as things happens and some haircuts take longer.
After being seated on the chair 20 minutes late and having a rushed “mid-skin fade” haircut (seemed like it was past closing time). I asked the barber, Tommaso Antico, in a polite manner to please show me the back and sides since he didn’t offer. It was obvious as soon as I saw the back and sides that this was not a mid-skin fade. I told him the cut was horrible and this is the point where he started getting a bit loud with lots of attitude. Why was it horrible ………..One, it was not a skin fade (maybe a zero or one). Two, you could clearly see the steps between the sizes where he didn’t blend it in well.
After asking him to please fix it in a calm and polite manner, he attempted to but only made it worst. I told him he was making it worst, this is when he’s attitude got worst by the second. He said the only way to fix it was to go higher. I told him no I didn’t come in for a high-fade so I decline. After asking him why was he giving me so much attitude and being confrontational he replay “ because you said it was horrible”. Shortly after that he said he was done and I could get up from the chair and leave. He escorted me to the front door and kick me out for getting a horrible cut from him.
In what world is he living in or maybe this is how “BESTBARBERS” as a brand like to represent themselves . If a barber can not own up to he's mistakes or take criticism of horribles cuts they do then why even hired them. Once again I was not going to write a bad review but I will take barbers (Tommaso Antico) suggestion and do just that since he doesn’t seem to care. So...

Read moreI could literally write a whole paper about how great this place is, and I don’t even leave google reviews. But I’ll try to keep it as short as possible.
I was visiting New York looking for a place to get my haircut and found this barber on google and saw great reviews so I decided to give it a shot (im very particular about my hair). I scheduled an appointment with Greg as I saw many good things said about him here and elsewhere. This was a game changing decision, no lie. Greg first consulted with me and we talked about my hair and he was excited to cut and style my hair which is a promising sign already. I told him what I didn’t like about my hair and he straight up just fixed it and made it look amazing. He told me exactly what he was going to do and what each technique would do to my hair, all while having good conversation. This man is actually a master at his craft and I’m not sure if I can possibly get a better haircut on this planet. He’s incredibly skilled with both clippers and scissors (I have a disconnected undercut).
I saw all types of people with totally different hairstyles in there. I will recommend everyone I know to go there from here on out because they seriously just want to make people look as good as possible, and they’re damn good at doing that. If you’re looking for a haircut in New York, I seriously recommend checking...
