If you’re looking to open a business checking account, just save yourself some time and stress and goto another bank or even try another branch.
This branch has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced from any bank.
I called the branch to confirm if there was a relationship manager who can help me open a business checking account.
The teller who answered asked me what type of business I had, the address of my business, and if I had each document that I needed, I confirmed that I did have all my documents and I just wanted to know if there was someone that could help me open the account at the branch at that time because Capital One doesn’t open business accounts online.
After about 5 minutes of unnecessary questioning about my business and if I had a physical address for my online business, I had to confirm 2 times that yes I had a physical address for my business and I have all my documents needed. The teller said yes I can come in to talk to someone who can help me open the account. I asked if it was busy because I didn’t want to sit around for an hour, and the she said no it’s not busy, we can have someone help you right away. (I was 5 minutes away from the branch)
When I arrived, I waited on line to ask the teller if there was someone who can help me open a business checking account, he asked if I had all my documents like my EIN, filing receipt, ect. I said “yes I do”, then he said “I can’t help you”, “the people who can help you aren’t here.”
I noted that I called in 5 min ago to confirm if there was someone here who can help me, and was told there was. This teller continued to say no one can help you here. So I asked when someone who can help me will be back. He said “1 to 2 hours”. I asked if he can get in contact with them to confirm this “1 to 2 hours” he said “no I can’t, I told you I can’t help you, can you move for the next customer”. All of this was said to me with annoyance and with attitude.
I kept my cool and stepped out the way, walked out and called the branch to ask again if there was anyone I can schedule an appointment with today to open the business account. The same teller picked up and said “no, we can’t help you with that, you can call customer service or the back end if you need help or need to get in touch with someone,” then hung up.
I called customer service to see if they can reach someone at the branch that can help me, the customer service agent was told by the same teller at the branch that there wasn’t anybody at the branch that can help open a business account.
I filed a complaint with corporate and hope a supervisor at the branch can make some changes with their hiring and training.
I also hope a supervisor can be at the branch to help when a customer is looking to establish a relationship...
Read moreAs I stepped into the bank this afternoon, I never anticipated the ordeal that awaited me. All I wanted was to withdraw my hard-earned funds, but what ensued was a disheartening display of incompetence and disrespect.
The teller, an elderly Asian lady, seemed determined to make my transaction as arduous as possible. Despite providing thorough verification, including showcasing my Capital One app account balance, she insisted that my money had not cleared—a blatant falsehood that left me incredulous.
Frustration turned to disbelief when the manager, a Hispanic woman, was called over. Rather than swiftly resolving the issue, she callously instructed me to wait, leaving me feeling utterly dismissed.
That was the final straw. I left the bank immediately, demanding the return of my card. Little did I know, the ordeal was far from over. Just ten minutes later, I discovered a hold had been placed on my account—a petty move that only added insult to injury.
In the aftermath of this appalling experience, I urge others to seek refuge in institutions like JP Morgan Chase, where dignity and respect are upheld. No one should ever be made to feel like a second-class citizen, especially when entrusting their finances to a supposed bastion of service. I'll be closing my...
Read moreI walked into the bank for a quick withdrawal and, while the other tellers are busy, there's a male teller sleeping in front the teller line. I decided to go to Chase instead, where their tellers stay awake. I went back to this same place again where I can confidently say Johnathan, is more pleasant sleeping than awake. He is absolutely the most rude, impatient, and condescending person I've ever dealt with. I've never felt compelled to write a review before today, but this male teller has brought me to that point. He is an absolute hinderance to the work force and a pain to be around, even as a customer. I don't know what management is doing to keep around a lazy teller such as himself, who can only be bothered to give 1% of his lame effort when he isn't sleeping around. If management won't do anything about it I highly suggest that corporate look into it because I'm not the only person who must feel this way. This experience truly displeases me knowing that Capital One has many branches closing and the few that remain, such as this, have such an unprofessional worker in their midst. Now that the Roosevelt branch is closing, the Main Street branch is closest to me, knowing that I will have to frequently deal with a worker such as this turns me away from...
