City Podiatry — Local services in New York

After reading the reviews, I wanted to be seen by Dr. Sutera. She didn’t accept my insurance I was told by the staff when I called in after they sent me an email canceling my appointment. So, because my situation was urgent, I agreed to be seen by Dr. JUZERSKI. The best thing I can say about my experience there is that it’s conveniently located.

The staff in the office was very unfriendly. Receptionists and support staff. Then, the doctor came in. Not friendly at all. Poor chair side manner. I have to say that I think they have a problem with non-white patients. He did not shake my hand at all and it was our first time ever meeting. He asked me an extremely insulting question vis-a-vis a medical issue that for privacy reasons, I can’t go into in this review, but suffice it to say that it was offensive because he seemed to question my intelligence. “Do you even know what that is?” He asked me.

If you’re African-American, I would not recommend this particular podiatry office and definitely not Dr. Juzerski. His appearance is also very unprofessional and unkempt.

I have very mixed feelings about this office and Dr. Sutera. At first, she seemed great and very knowledgeable. However, the office charged me a co-payment for a visit that my insurance 100% covered with no co-payment necessary and I only found out because of my insurance. The office never informed me or offered a refund as they should have knowing that my insurance fully covered the visit. Then when I inquired about another co-payment charge for a fully out of pocket visit which insurance played no role in, Dr. Sutera was extremely frustrated and sassy with her responses. At one point, she had to take a deep breath and closed her eyes while speaking with me as if she was losing her patience for having to answer questions that I had every right in asking. In the end, they had to refund me for two co-payments that should never have been charged and only did so when it was brought to their attention. She may be good at what she does, however, the way she conducts business isn’t the best and her attitude when she is questioned is inappropriate to...

I broke my spine when I was 16. I’ve had three major back surgeries. I’ve been dealing with pain management doctors too much. I found her on Zack dock and she had five stars so I decided to go to her. She examined my foot did an MRI told me what you think it could be measured and noticed that I was missing 2 inches off of the roadside which was causing most of the back pain that I was experiencing currently. She designed custom insoles for my sneakers. When I put them in I had so much relief I could actually breathe again. I’m still crying right now as I write this a lot of people don’t understand consistent pain that never goes away. And she’s definitely relieved a lot of that for me.
