I have nothing but good things to say about Top Hat Carriage rides! I booked the tour in advance but then got sick on the day of my ride. Canceling was very easy and they immediately refunded my money less the $25 cancellation fee. I rebooked it a few weeks later. About an hour before my booked time, I received a text from my driver to tell him when I have arrived. I texted my driver about 20 minutes before my scheduled timeslot. He immediately called me back to give me an ETA on the carriage as he was still on a tour. My party was in the carriage within 10 minutes. My husband and I took the tour with our 3 children (ages 6, 8 and 11). They loved it! The driver, Nathan, gave interesting tidbits about the history of Central Park as well as the locations of where different movies were filmed. We got amazing family photos and memories. The express ride is all you need for the younger ones but the longer ride would be lovely for a romantic evening. In short, I highly recommend...

In our reservation confirmation we were informed to arrive 15 minutes early for our midnight Holiday Lights reservation. We arrived well ahead of the required 15 minutes, and waited as carriage after carriage from another company departed & even asked us to ride with them. We politely declined & continued to wait. 15 minutes past midnight we finally gave up & headed to the warmth of our hotel across the street. We dialed the number provided & when they answered they attempted to tell us that the driver was there waiting, even though we could see an empty area from our hotel room window. The company has a policy in place for if their client is late, they will dock their ride time - but it appears they aren't as punctual as they expect their...

I would give more than 5 stars if possible! Harry and his beloved horse Pepperoni took my friend and I on the most relaxing and immersive journey around Central Park (The most popular ride-45 mins) Harry’s love and respect for Pepperoni was mutual with Pepperoni enjoying every moment of the journey as much as us. Harry let us get to know Pepperoni by feeding him carrots and petting him; it was a lovely experience. Harry gave us relevant commentary about the locations we were visiting and kindly offered to take photos of my friend and I. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I highly recommend requesting Harry as your guide, your day and heart will be lifted. Thank you again Harry and Pepperoni for making our time with you one of the best...

WITH THE MOST VELVETY NOSE IN THE PARK, SOCKS IS PURE ROYALTY ON HOOVES!🐴👑 Socks is more than a horse — he’s a heart-stealer with hooves. Full of playful charm and gentle affection, he’s known for his soft, velvety nose 🐴💞 and a personality that lights up every corner of the park. True to his name, he proudly wears three white socks and a striking white strap across his face, making him as unforgettable in looks as he is in spirit. He loves cuddles 🤗, carrots 🥕, and connecting with every person like they’ve been friends forever. Joyful, curious, and always ready to make memories, Socks is the kind of horse who leaves hoofprints on your heart. Spend a moment with him, and you’ll understand why he’s the sweetheart of Central Park. 🌟🐎

Amazing experience! We had a great time. The only reason for a 4 star is because I would recommend just getting a ride at Central Park the day of. Those carriage ride are $180 vs over $200 close to $300 for some, when pre booking. And the carriage looks the exact same. Additionally doing your ride when there’s sun. We thought Central Park would be more lit so we could see more. But it’s pretty pitch black. Still a great view of the city being all lit up. All in all a fabulous time and our guide and horse were fabulous!
