Cityproof Soundproof Windows — Local services in New York

Cityproof did a great job with my windows. The sound reduction is excellent and just what I was looking for. However, their service was very hit and miss and they damaged my floors.

The initial consultation where Brian came to my home to make measurements was pleasant and efficient. The installation of the windows also went smoothly until the end where I discovered that the contractors had accidentally gotten some sort of sticky compound on my wooden floors in two places. The floors were new and had been installed 3 days ago. The contractors worked with me to try and remove the compound but it smeared and dried on to the floors. As it was the end of the job and they needed to leave, they said they would talk with Head office to rectify the issue.

Head office sent Brian to come look at the damage, and he agreed that the floor damage had been unintentionally caused by the contractors and then he would work with me to either compensate me or pay for a flooring company to fix the issues.

However, when I emailed Brian to check in a few days later he flat out denied Cityproof had caused the flooring damage and that the flooring company had simply done a bad job. When I replied to express my confusion and disappointment in his reversal, the COO Joe jumped in to promise that he would fix it. What followed was an extended email thread where Joe kept promising that he was setting up time with a flooring company before eventually ghosting me.

The whole episode was rather strange, and frankly unprofessional. While the windows themselves are great, I suggest waiting a week after the job to pay the final 50% so that you can check if Cityproof has...

Ive had 2 projects done by cityproof - one for all my bedroom windows (feb 2023) and the second for my kitchen and living room windows (june 2023). Both times, Antonio (main foreman) was the absolute BEST to work with on installation - he made sure there werent any gaps and addressed all our concerns.

When it came to the actual sale, quote, and measurements, i had the best experience with Chris… be was a very patient salesperson who took accurate measurements - i recommend Chris as a salesperson specifically because he made sure i was 100% satisfied.

The office staff at Cityproof was very diligent with providing all docs i’d need (workers / liability insurance) and they were timely with responses. The owner (i believe Michael) was also very knowledgeable as I thought about considering Cityquiet for the 2nd project, so he helped provide comfort in knowing that even though Cityproof was a little more expensive, you’re paying for quality.

I’d work wjth them again but i dont have any more windows to soundproof!! I’d only trust them for their high-touch customer service and workmanship. Great people,...
