CitiQuiet Soundproof Windows — Local services in New York

I am a real estate broker and in the industry everyone just calls any soundproof window treatments "citiquiets" not knowing if a different company did them or not. They are that ubiquitous - kind of like saying 'call an uber' or 'grab a kleenex'.

So I immediately knew who to contact to have one installed in our bedroom. We've been having some trouble with highway noise, loud cars/sirens, and barking dogs waking us up. I requested a quote and they quickly responded with some figures. We weren't ready to order yet and just wanted an idea of cost and how the install worked, but Josh was not pushy at all. When we were ready, we came back to them and set up an appointment.

Angel came and was fantastic - prompt and respectful of our apartment. Mia liked him so he immediately passed the dog test. He measured our windows and discussed the different types of sliders and glass thickness they offered as well as listened to our needs to understand what fit us best. Being in sales, I really appreciated that Angel was not pushy or an upseller. Our noise levels weren't that bad and he actually recommended a pretty modest one; we ended up choosing one slightly more than that just to be safe and because the cost was reasonable. After asking him 100 questions which he was so patient to answer, he ran through the pricing and it ended up being less than the initial quote which we were ecstatic about. (it also shows they aren't firing out cheap initial quotes just to get their foot in the door and hook you). Angel asked if we needed more time to think before signing the agreement and paying the deposit, but we are pretty decisive and signed on the spot; we felt no need to shop around but appreciated that he was not pushy about signing that day.

They gave me an estimate of 4-6 weeks for the install. I got a call a few days later to schedule it only 2 weeks out! The COI process was seamless with our building and their office really has everything buttoned up efficiently.

Install day a different Angel and Victor came early (I had told them I was home if they were early) and carried the same cleanliness and respectfulness that the first Angel did. They were friendly and meticulous, wore shoe covers, covered the working area, and kept everything very clean. The install was seamless and Angel answered 100 questions I had about the windows and the hardware.

The new windows are amazing. Eliminates all ambient noise from outside and muffles any louder sounds. Exactly as we were hoping. And we are excited to see how they perform in the winter and how much heat will be retained in the room. The bronze color matches perfectly with our black window trim - can barely tell the difference and all the trim lines up nicely.

Now I kind of wish we ordered the same for the 2nd bedroom/home office but this is a good test to see the difference. We'll likely do it for the other room too.

I'm extremely happy with CitiQuiet's product and their level of service. For background, a large hotel is being constructed next to my apartment, with loud drilling that starts early in the morning. It got so bad that I had to sleep with ear buds playing white noise directly into my ears to sleep through it. With CitiQuiet, the noise is reduced so that it's not intrusive during the day (e.g., people on the phone can no longer hear it) and I can turn on a fan and sleep right through it.
